As been mentioned look at the amount of games hes played. He's off form, yes *but* he's among only a handful this season you could say have been on form.

Its feast or famine as usual.

Back to usual being honest. Golden wee couple of months there.
The opposite in terms of time really though isn't it?
He's had 6 months of consistency. It's now fading clear as day.

He should be dropped.
Roberts is really pushing for a place isn’t he? He’s done nowt to take the jersey, other than not be Forrest

Good enough for me. If both are playing poorly. Roberts is still the better player.

Roberts hasn’t done as much as I’d hoped he would have this season - he’s obviously been injured, but the games he has played he hasn’t been anywhere near last season.

It's fair to say Forrest was our player of the year for the first half of the season, but since has been poor to decent.

I'd like for James to get a rest and play Roberts, even if he is gone next season.

Was man of the match against Hamilton while Forrest has been rotten since February. Roberts also played better last week and this than Forrest despite much less playing time

Still works hard but looking out of gas. Had a fantastic season regardless.

No great confidence in Roberts doing much more tbh

His hat trick against Thistle was top class.

I'd definitely start Roberts in the next game.

Aye 5/10 when the rest were worse.
I like paddy but his pre season with city was minimal, he wasn’t the same player when he came back and the injury has killed his season. Forrest needs a break - I’m just not sure the current Roberts is the answer to giving him that.

The pattern this season is the same for his whole career. There have always been months where he just disappears. To be fair, his good patch this season was better than his other good patches. He's 26 - it's not going to change.

He's not played well either but it's a bit unfair given he's started like once in the last 6 months and generally only gets about 20 minutes game time.

and there's a reason why guys like Roberts haven't been as good as last year. Last year's team was electric, there was a high tempo to our play, we looked to blow teams away. This year it's laboured and slow and we look to bore teams to death with our sideways passing between Brown and the CB's. Bar Brown, Forrest and maybe Rogic I can't think of any other player who is playing to the same standards of last season. It's surely no coincidence.

A few assists and key passes here and there, but otherwise fairly quiet since the Thistle Cup game in January. Still miles better than practically every other season, tho.

In saying that, I think Roberts should start for the remainder of the season. He’s on another level, is fun to watch and we might as well get our money’s worth.

Pretty much as I see it. Forest form recently has clearly dipped. That happens him and in fact happens most wingers - that's why they are known as flaky wingers. I have seen nothing from Roberts recently however to suggest he must start.he looked good against Hamilton, however I can't think of anything really effective he done.

Has been one of the more reliable players this season. When we were a goal down he went awol. When the pressure is on, he fixes his socks - literally - time and again. There was a moment today when he did it. The ball was ten yards away, two Celts against three, James did the I'm the gorilla in the background thing and wandered across the scene like he wasn't there. Didn't help out at all. Infuriating.

No sure I follow you here. Are you saying because he's a winger he shouldn't be expected to play for more than half a season?

Forrest has been our second most consistent player this season and probably our most important one.

He’s been exceptional this season . He’s dipped a bit in the last month. Having Hendry as the right back doesn’t help him at all.

He's played for more than half the season behave.

Wingers tend to dip in and out of form more than others don't you think?
