His 2nd half today consisted of

- knocking a ball back to Lustig at the half way line.
- Getting skinned outside our box, leading to an Aberdeen corner.
- Playing a backwards pass to Rogic just inside their half.
- Getting a toe in to win a tackle, but knocking the ball straight to an Aberdeen player.
- Failing to beat the first defender and bring our 3 on 2 break to a grinding halt.
- Giving the ball away just outside our box.
- Chasing down a ball in the centre of our half, and laying it off to McGregor.
- Getting subbed.

That's it. Brilliant for the first goal. Contributed next to nothing going forward outwith that.
Spot on. I didn't have the energy to post this due to the incoming onslaught in response to this post after a great win.

He might win POTY but it'll be by default. The majority of our squad have been pish for long spells or injured for long spells this season. His improvement to a playing well 1 out of 3 will/should be enough.

When the whole team plays well like we did against Zenit he's not even in the Top 5 players in the team.
Having a go at a player who has turned up and using others who haven't as some kind of insult against him? I was not a fan of his prior to Brendan arriving however in the last 2 seasons he has won me over. Aside his goals and assists his work rate is exceptional and his attitude is good. Anyway

If you were to consider what Sinclair has behind him on the left then you would surely appreciate more what Forrest gives. If Jamesy he had a KT tearing up the wing and going beyond to take away one of the defenders he would be even more effective.

POTY by default... :ffs:

Jesus. What a ridiculous post, from both. Another match winning contribution by our best player this season.

Fair to say he’s not a right wing back.

Put in a shift tho and skinned his man once to deliver a perfect cross for a goal.

He wasn’t in the top 5 today either but hey ho he made a major contribution.

Forrest is the least of our worries right now.

Strange considering he was in the top 3 performers home and away v Zenit.

Been Celtic's best player this season, didn't have one of his best games yesterday, but he did put in a great cross for Dembele's goal and put a shift in. Doesn't hide the way he did at times in the past when he lacked a bit of confidence, BR has helped this guy fulfill his potential over the last two seasons.
Overall, he has made a huge contribution this season in terms of goals, assists and his general play. He didn't have a stand-out game against Aberdeen but it was a shocking pitch and there wasn't a lot of football played, but he still contributed.
Keep up the good work JF. :)

Enjoyed seeing a beautiful cross for a headed goal yesterday, we need to start mixing our slightly predictable cut back routine with lofted balls for Moussa to attack, he's a more physical proposition now than when he joined and it's time to start exploiting that.

Poty for me
Got to agree with this. Didn't have his best game on Sunday but still a major contribution with the assist.

Easily for me our most consistent performer this season so far.

I thought he was poor tbh. Don't think he's had a particularly great game v them yet. Was disappointed as I think John isn't a great player defensively and was a fitness doubt running up to the game.

Yes. Our Poty still imo. Between him and brown probably.

Starting to get the Simon Donnelly feel about him in that , no matter how well he's playing against anyone else he's just not gonna quite do it against the huns. Don't think he's ever scored against them has he?

Hopefully put it right next month.

I'm new. Be gentle.
He wins soooo many free kicks around the box, if only we had someone in the team that could take one.

He didn't have his best game yesterday, but he still shampoo them up every time he ran at John.
