He was decent. Nothing special... Just hope he stops this cutting inside. We need him bombing down the wing

He cut inside yesterday, beat two men and set up a good chance. Cutting inside is not the problem, it's the fact that he does it too often and it becomes predictable. He took the defender on down the outside a couple of times yesterday and done fairly well in the second half. Needs to do more of that and stretch the other team with his pace - that's his strength.

He had a good 20 minutes - round about when he was about to be subbed- but invisible in first half.

Played well against 9 men, if only we could get that each time he plays, he might be worthwhile

Frustrating player , hasn't lived up to his potential, and is far too injury prone . There is a player in there and here's hoping that he finds some decent form . The heckling of him at recent games is ridiculous, Izzy somehow seems to get away with some stinking performances yet fans sing his name ?? Guy next to me on Sunday still shouted at him when he done something right.... What chance does he have ??

Something that has frustrated me for nearly 3-4 seasons now is the lack of an old school winger.

By this I mean someone whose role is to get down that wing to the by-line as quickly as possible and get in a decent cross
to the penalty area.

It appears that we try too hard to work the ball Into these areas and a high number of 'attacks' break down or the defending team is given time to
get players behind the ball (or worse when we actually try to fire in a cross it either gets pumped out of play or hits the first man).

That's most of football nowadays though, there are few out and out wingers about. I think it's because these players are expected to contribute in other ways, such as scoring goals (with the rise of the false 9). There's a quote from a manager, Alex Ferguson I think but not sure, saying it's more dangerous to have a player who starts wide but moves inwards than the other way around. It's the full/wingbacks job to provide the winger role now as it should be easier to create the overlap for them so I'd say the criticism should be more aimed at them.

One other thing, the defending teams in Scotland usually have all men behind the ball anyway when playing us. This kind of makes it pointless putting crosses into the box as there are plenty of players to deal with them. I think we cross too much but I'd be interested to see some stats to show whether this is gradually coming down under RD. Crossing can be a bad habit that takes time to eradicate.

(btw, I'm not saying crossing is in itself bad, just that it's not really suited to us)

Even at his current pishness, if he has to play on Sunday, a decent pitch and loads of space on a wide park should allow him to have game of sorts, hopefully!

Get those points but you tend to find that when many teams park the bus we also struggle to break them down
at times also.

Hitting the by-line an whipping in a cross is something we should and could do with ease, pacey winger with a decent
eye for getting the ball into the right area is all your need especially when hitting on the break or breaking through
from a quick 1-2 pass.

One other thing on the back of that....cant remember a Celtic front line with so many players with an obvious lack of
height up front. No real target man now which is frustrating.

Another game under his belt, kept it simple, nice finish and while a poor penalty, he made a difference.

I can understand him wanting to hit it, the argument with Guidetti was a distraction he didn't need in the lead up but it was still a stinker.

Petulant school boy behavior over the penalty. He acts like he believes he is something special , which he was was briefly , before his arrogance snuffed out whatever brilliance he had flickered.
