Just saw on Twitter a company advetising that they are sending turf to Hampden today. Surely they haven't left it this late to lay? If so I can see wee Jamesie doing himself a mischief.

He was good once Dundee United were two men down. They couldn't double up on him and he had space. Today will do him some good.

It has taken the rest of the players close to 6 months to adjust to Ronny's system. Forrest's just being brought back from injury and yet he's expected to make an impact and change games straight away. I think he needs to be cut a bit more slack, give him some time to get up to speed.

He had a decent game on a pitch that does a winger no favours.

Couldn't see the condition of the other side of the pitch (away from the camera) but our right wing in the first half was a disgraceful mudheap.

Nothing startling today but promising. Teed up a great chance by cutting it back to the penalty spot in the 2nd half.

Some encouraging signs but still far away from making the impact on games someone of his ability should.

I don't think he has got what some others see in him, I just never thought he would amount to even half of what his 'potential' was bummed up to be. He might prove me wrong, however I think his chance to do so has passed.

In saying that, He looked interested today and was willing to run at the DU full backs but his usual 'cut inside and pass to midfield' still annoys me.

Better today Jamsie but I am still of the opinion that he isn't good enough for us

He just needs games and time. Forrest's a good player and ronny knows we are going to need him in these later stages of the season.

Not great today but not terrible either. Should still offer so much more.

On Friday, I saw two trucks carrying five tractors between them going into Hampden so it's quite possible they are leaving it this late. :ffs:

Played better today on a pitch that doesn't suit someone who runs with the ball at his feet.

My thoughts as well,

there's a player in there no doubt about it, hope he has a run free of injuries, gets his confidence up and gets the crowd behind him ,

all the best jamesie

Must be watching a different game to some on here, thought he was poor today and has been for quite a while.
The other L Hamilton agrees with you.
I see what you did there ;)

You must have had your eyes shut half the time in the second half.
On three occasions he made clear cut scoring chances and only a combination of poor shooting
desperate defending and good goaltending prevented a goal. His overall performance in the second half
was greatly improved.
I absolutely agree with you that you don't see what others see in him and I will leave it at that.

He showed flashes today, but when Utd. were down to ten there were points where we were crying out for someone wide right and he'd tucked in leaving no real outlet on that side. I have no idea why he just didn't keep stretching them and giving himself more room to receive the ball and drive in from the wing. And I kept waiting for him to knock the ball past someone and run onto it, but that never really came off either. So it wasn't a classic Forrest performance by any means. All that said, given the current injury list and state of the squad there's no question he should be starting, and there's no question he did more of a job setting things up than some of our strikers did finishing.

He had a decent game yesterday. Even in the first half he stopped Dixon getting forward.
