You'll struggle to find a bigger critic of Forrest than me, but his shot that went past the post was a good effort that he did well to fashion a shooting opportunity from.
Mate, I was in section 438 with a perfect view of that play. He did well to get into the position, sure, he then missed the target from what? 8 yards out at most? He's not good enough or consistent enough. His time's up.

He was drifting into the middle looking for the ball as well, after having no luck out on the wing. Couldn't beat his man and wanted to get involved.

He's frustrating to watch as he'll often create space then fail to utilise it and wind up back in a crowded area and have to play the ball back or lose it. He seems to have a poor judgement on when to play the right pass. Someone needs to have a serious word about his bravery too. He had two half chances on Wednesday and failed to do anything with them as he pulled out of challenging for the ball.

Main thing with Forrest, if he doesn't beat the defender first time. He's chucked it in his head.

You can tell within 2 minutes whether he's going to be sugar or shampooe.

He sure will. The handful of goals and assists he will provide over the coming season will be good for Celtic. Goodbye. :twitch:

Good form that led to him losing his place in the team. By all means defend him and what he brings to the team, he's a decent player who brings goals and assists over the course of a season, but having watched Sinclair and Roberts take our game to another level, reverting back to Forrest feels like a pretty big backwards step. I'm sure the stats will say otherwise (and I know we're only a few games in), but Hayes already looks sharper and more athletic than him.

I was sitting a few rows from the front on Wednesday, on Forrest's side of the pitch in the first half. He didn't look like beating anyone and his performance was reminiscent of the pre-Rodgers era.

He's good at initiating the press, and that BR values tactical discipline, but Forrest doesn't have the guile to do break the lock on a tight defence. We need someone, like Roberts, who can do that because teams will be able to sit in against us and hope for the best if it's Forrest operating on the right wing.

The most ridiculous post I have read.
We are hardly 5 minutes into the season and in fact not one ball kicked in the domestic season and the most negative our alleged fans
are giving him laldy.

Not really  Forrest can either start a game at 100mph and have a stormer or not touch the ball in the first 10 minutes and be afraid to take on his man from then on in. I'd be starting Hayes on the right on Wednesday

What frustrates me about James is that, unlike Roberts, whose strength is in cutting inside, his strength is beating defenders on the outside, going to the byelne and sending in a decent cross. But he insists on cutting inside 90 percent of the time. Do you think maybe this is what he is being told to do?

He's just not good enough, never has been.
That's blatantly not true.

He kept Roberts out the team for large parts of last season.

if Roberts hadn't been here on loan, I don't think we would have seen much of Forrest.

Agree with that. Roberts is clearly way better than Forrest and will get better still.
