Tired of saying (literally for years) that he's not good enough for Celtic.
Championship or Aberdeen is his level, and the former is pushing it.
100% Played not bad last year when PR was breathing down his neck.
Played better tonight for a while when JH came on.
If he has no competition he is very average.

Assist stat is the most meaningless stat in football. Forrest was absolutely vital to how we played for a large part of the season. He was better than Roberts for most of the season hence why the manager started him more often.
James Forrest dreams of being as good as Patrick Roberts.
Defenders feared Roberts. No one fears Forrest. No one.
Not true. There are a few on here who get the shivers when they see his name on the team sheet.

As he should. He's a Celtic player. Not that it makes him immune to criticism, but you'd hope most people would generally support our players.

He's not the best we've got, not the worst. I think there's a lot of frustration because we've seen glimpses of his talent and know what he's capable of, but far too often he doesn't show it. There's also a general anger after the result today and the transfer dealings in general and people are lashing out a bit.

If he scores the winner next week the other half of the people on the thread will be on here giving it the 'I told you so'. It's the joy of KDS, and fickle football fans in general.

Was a silly dig at those who think he's the second coming of Jinky.

Of course I want to see him do well, but the boy ain't got it.

Which is your prerogative. I'm not his biggest fan either but the manager must still fancy him.

His form last season is being exaggerated. He was good from August until the league cup final in November which was about 3 and a half 4 months. Aside from that he was his usual inconsistent self.

Can't think of another Celtic player who's had as many chances as he's had over the years.

Decision-making is poor
Doesn't get his head up
Doesn't know how to defend
Crap passing
Wuss.

Hayes did more in the half an hour he was on the park than James did the whole time he was on.

Without Roberts or someone else there to put real pressure on him I dont think he'll offer much. Wasn't even that great last season, just better than what he been offering before. Doesn't seem quite as quick as he used to be either. I'd play Hayes next week, even though I think he suits the left side better.

Did Hayes have a single effort at goal?

By the end of this season he'll be two years away from a testimonial match

I've defended Shooders pretty much every season, but last night was the end game for me. He's stinking up that right wing. A braver player would have at least gotten on the end of a few of those balls into the box and tested the keeper. JF pulled out of those challenges and Rosenborg were far too comfortable in dealing with him all night.

Think I've seen enough of James Forrest over the years tbh, far too hit and miss, when he's on form he's great but its once in a blue moon - when he's not on fire he's useless, far too predictable in trying to beat his man, don't think their left back needed to break sweat.
