For me that was his best game in a Celtic jersey. Long may it continue.

Three assists in any game, for any player, is magnificent. The quality of the assists ratchets it up a notch or two. He was very ably assisted by great passing from Dembélé, but that is not to take away from the quality of his final ball for all three. It was a joy to see him leave the leftback on his arse for the second goal. Even better that he played a perfectly weighted pass inside.

His crosses for the two headed goals were just right on the button. Took the goalkeeper and the defence out and left it in the perfect place for Dembélé and then Tierney to bullet the ball in.

And, by the way, 'Jimmy Trees', is stupendously shampoo patter. Yes, I am looking at you, in 404, row 4.

A few quotes from him in the Record

Forrest gave an insight into why it’s going so well as he revealed one-on-one talks with the boss and said: “The gaffer has sat down and chatted with all of us at different stages throughout the season.

“It has been really good. From day one we have just felt a good vibe.

“He brings real positivity. He makes you want to work and he makes you want to get better. He said it himself on day one that if no one wanted to get better under him then he would show them the door.

“It’s a credit to all the boys, even the ones that haven’t played, that
everybody has been working hard. You can see that in the performances they have been putting in.

“The manager gets after us every day to keep pushing on and getting better. That is good to have and it is definitely the best I’ve felt.

Celtic sensation Moussa Dembele a summer transfer target for Arsenal
“As you get older you learn stuff from more experienced players. You see what suits you best.

“Before training I’m doing a bit more in the gym and heading in there after as well. It’s paying off.

“The supporters are behind us,
confidence is really high and I would definitely say this is the best I’ve felt.”

Forrest was simply scintillating against Inverness. The only thing missing from the show was a goal.

He blew one great opportunity in the second period and said: “It was good to get assists today.

“Maybe I should have scored a couple as well but I’m just delighted to provide the assists and for us to score a lot of goals, have a clean sheet and get through to the next round.

“The one I missed was sitting up perfectly but that’s one of those things.

According to the OptaCeltic Twitter his three assists on Saturday put him on 11 for the season, his most ever and the first time he's reached double figures. A credible turnaround in his form.
