Maybe needs a wee rest. But he's in there on form still for me.

Roberts or Forrest? Been difficult to choose between in recent weeks/months. It's great being a Tim at the moment.

I thought Roberts was poor when he came on.
Looked hesitant to dribble as much as he normally does but thought his passing was pretty good. Teammates let him down a few times after he opened the defence up. Done more than Forrest and should now replace him in the team.
Tough crowd :(

Re Roberts - may have came across that I was criticising him. I wasn't , I was pleased he showed that he has more to his game than dribbling. For me that is a positive.

At this level he's not got the pace advantage over the full backs like he does in the SPFL to constantly go down the outside and he's not great when he's forced to cut in. Always thought he was a bit too predictable.

Good move early on in the second half switching it out left to put in Sinclair but Armstrong took it away.
Agree with this. Forrest is decent but as you say, it's down the outside and on his right foot where he is effective. The likes of Sinclair can go either way. On a 1 v 1 situation Sinclair will pose a lot more problems than the likes of Forrest. Forrest needs to work on his left foot and cutting inside.

Form has dipped a bit but this is probably the most games he's played in a burst in years. A wee break won't go wrong, give him the chance to be an impact player and start Roberts for a few.
Could be, any winger is going to have a few quiet games. Apart from the past 2 games he's been in cracking form. Now it's Roberts' chance.

I thought he did well in the second half but Roberts probably deserves a chance now.

Back to the Forrest we all know and love the past few weeks, awaiting remy and co to tell us we're all wrong and he's actually brilliant

Said it after Rangers game..he has been poor for us last 3/4 games. He has had generally speaking a very good start to the season but he needs some rest now. Typical Forrest over the years so far- inconsistent. I'm glad he has the confidence back now as he can be effective player hwen on song but he has been missing for 4/5 games now.

Paddy back in..just hope the manager sees what the rest of us do.

Fighting a lost cause, the vast majority on here have made their mind up about Forrest and are not for the changing.

I actually thought he started the second half well last night.

He did have a bad game but it is has been 3/4 of the bounce compared to his great start he has wained a fair bit. Few games on the bench over next few weeks. Still delighted he is showing more as a player this season. Played really well outwith last few games.

I still think Roberts is a better all round player but Jamesy has deserved his starts due to level this season he has been playing at.

Bit like the old Mcgeady, everyone had him as a wonder kid but a true wonderkid could stand out in the EPL

Same old from Forrest, flashes of brilliance but probably just too inconsistent overall and not enough end product to warrant the regard some have for him.

Yes he did start the second half well. A good 4 or 5 mins then he disappeared again and just went back to his poor first half form.
That's not enough to hold on to your place in the team.

Kind of agree with this although i think his off the ball work rate is still of value.

Contradicting myself a wee bit here, but he doesn't seem to understand how to close down the passing spaces all that well - but makes up for it by chasing and grafting.

Of all the people on here to come out with a statement like that, you should probably be at the back of the line.
