Regardless of Forrest's form (and he's been very good in the main) what has Roberts done to 'deserve' a start? I've seen it said from a few people and it's baffling me.
What about the fact he's a better player than Forrest? Rodgers himself stated that Roberts was playing great before he got injured but is just unfortunate that Forrest came in and took his chance. The whole "10 mins v BMG" thing is absolute nonsense as there'd have been no 10 minutes v BMG if not for Roberts in the first place.

I just find it staggering that based on 9 minute runs out we can then turn around and say "aye, but what has he actually done to deserve a start?"
I was simply quoting what you, and others, have posted in relation to the matter. To deserve something means you have done something to warrant it - all I'm asking is what, because I must have missed it. He was hoaching against ICT and Alloa.

If the suggestion was that the team could do with some rotation and bringing Roberts in would freshen things up then fair enough, but it's pretty clear he's not done anything to 'deserve' getting back into the team yet.

Rodgers has also shown that he's only too willing to reward players for their work in training, too, Armstrong being a perfect example of that.

I actually prefer Forrest on the left. He, like Sinclair, can go on the outside or cut inside and is rarely guilty of losing control of the ball no matter how fast he is movimg.
Ideally a winger should notch up a few goals as Sinclair has done, so far and as Roberts showed he was well capable off before his injury. Forrest scored a few earlier but now seems to have gone off the boil goalwise. If Sinclair doesn't score 20 this season, I'll be shocked.
I don't think Jinky got too many in his time.

I thought Forrest was better than Sinclair yesterday.
Forrest rarely beats a man, he just runs sideways like a crab :crabflute:

At least Sinclair turns and faces the man one on one and attempts to beat him.

Save a few moments this season (St Johnstone/Hearts) Forrest just doesn't have the ability to beat players.
What a load of shampooe!
Hardly beat a man once on Sunday... don't see how its a load of shampooe.

It's called an opinion

True, but when it's blatant nonsense don't be surprised if people call you on it.

Forrest not trying to beat a man is entirely down to his confidence - much like his form in general.

He wasn't his best at the weekend, neither were a number of players. No big deal since we won.

Totally disagree. It's entirely down to his ability, and his lack thereof.

Is this the same JF, thats been beating left backs all season? He might not beat them with tricks but his link up play to get past them and also beating them 1 on 1 has been excellent.

If Rodgers felt the right side needed a change he'd have subbed him, says to me that a big part of the job he was doing was to keep Wallace back the park. Other than one cross he wasn't a factor.
