In line with other posters. I would have hunted him out the door but he has been superb this season and today he was a constant threat

He now wants to take responsibility at all times and it is great to see. He is putting in mature performances. To think that this time last year he was still indulging in the nonsense of fixing his hair, hands in the air and having strops etc. I cannot understand why it wasn't coached out of him by Lenny or Ronny, but I am just glad Brendan has sorted it and James is now doing himself justice.

I said after the last game that he still doesn't look like the player he was. I still think he's lost the afterburner turn of pace that gave him his edge and that ultimately he's an average player without it but right now he's an average player performing at the top of his capabilities with whatever Rodgers is doing. Playing like this he's a very able option as 3rd choice winger after Sinclair and Roberts.
I posted the above in mid-August. I wasn't convinced he had turned a corner until the end of September. I think even in the past month or so he's transformed from hard working and adequate back to excellent and threatening. He's now playing with a directness and urgency immediately as he receives the ball and back getting in behind the full backs and no longer looks like he's lost any pace. Well worth the inclusion over Roberts at present and a quite remarkable transformation under Rodgers.

Their number 30 was torn to shreds today. I'm pretty certain his injury today was more a pride thing than anything physical. Simply couldn't take getting skinned one more time.

Well in wee man. There are no doubt some harsh words from me to be found in this thread - and they were deserved at the time - but he has fair knuckled down and turned it around. A genuine bums off the seats player at the moment.

I backed James last year when he was getting pelters and he is now showing he can be a gig player for us.

I also still back Efe Ambrose, too.

Bring back Efe :pitchfork:

Just shows you what a new manager can do,I was wanting rid of him,no doubts about it,I had enough of watching him getting tackled, sitting on his arse, hands in the air and not chasing back.
Different attitude now and he has been playing great,I apologise young
James,keep up the great work.

Looked even better when he switched to the left, probably his best game this season.

Forrest been excellent and in the team on merit; don't think Roberts has done anything of note this season although I appreciate he's only had fleeting moments to show it.

The player has so often looked as though he's struggling in seasons gone past but now injury free  and with a manager who knows how to utilise him he's showing us what he's capable of.

Watching the game yesterday he's even quicker than I had realised as a few times he was yards away from players over the first ten or so but just seemed to be able to do it at will, whether on the outside or coming in.

Delighted with his form and long may it continue.

Thought he was great & cut back lots of good balls for Armstrong.
Armstrong did nothing with them though, would like to see Christie get his chance.

Happy to have a cyber tar and feathering on this thread as hes totally won me over this season. Ability wasn't ever really in doubt but fitness, workrate and desire was and I believe he lacked all of these at times although his fitness issues might well have knocked his confidence. If Forrest had been brought in for a transfer fee in the summer without the baggage of previous seasons wed be raving about him. Again shows what can happen with a manager who plays to someones strengths, Excellent this season

He's doing as much as Sinclair is for me at the moment, and that really is saying something. He's been outstanding this season.

The fact he can't get a game for Scotland is a complete farce. One of a handful of Scottish outfield players capable of playing at Champions League level.
