where`s the guy mcmullan ? surely we could have given this wee guy a try ?
We're fighting for a treble, its not time to give kids a game. He does look like he might make it but he'll have to wait till next season for his chance.
i know what you mean , but this could have or should have been a night after the weekend result that he could have had the 10/15 mins that james got if we had been ahead, giving james as much time as possible for extra strength work and development games for confidence
McMullan is on loan at Stenhousemuir. He can't play for the Celtic first team.

The ire directed at Forrest from the stands was over the top, and disproportionate when considering he wasn't alone in the pish stakes.

That being said he didn't try to take on the full back once, instead choosing simple sideways passes, and didn't look at all threatening.

His confidence is clearly dented, but at the moment he is basically a smaller Derk Boerrigter.

Forrest's main asset has always been his explosive pace and using said pace to drive at the opposition full backs.

I don't think it's the pace that's missing but the willingness to use it, for the last wee while he seems genuinely feart to run at people and wants to give the ball away as soon as he gets it possibly for fear of injury

I know he needs to rectify whatever is causing the hamstring niggles every few games and I'm sure the club are working on that, but if he doesn't get the mindset right again then it's curtains for him.

His time with Celtic should be over after tonight's performance. His career is going nowhere

He wasn't to blame for the loss tonight but he did nothing when he came on!

He looks scared to use the only weapon he's ever had.

Can't see what he adds to the team!

I think he's done! I hope he is gone in the summer!

Was Wakaso better than him tonight?
Wakaso put in a couple of decent crosses but was awful defensively.
Cheers for that....
Neither any good at defending but Wakaso more of a threat..

Last couple of games he has come on to try and win it for us. Not a great scenario for someone low on confidence returning from injury.

He's shampooe at playing the disguised, clever one-twos on the edge of the box. His body shape and posture gives it away whenever he tries a pass.

He is great at beating a guy over 5 yards and crossing it. He seems unwilling to do that, though...

Still insists on receiving the ball by taking a step toward our goal then trying to beat a man rather than getting beyond to receive it or making a positive first touch.
Did one of his now legendary turns where he does a 180 degree turn in a circle that would shame an oil tanker. To be fair it baffles defenders but it probably baffles anyone that regularly watches football.

Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out :Bye:
Constructive comment. Why the dislike for players who are either under performing, lacking confidence or just not good enough?
Something something don't shrink to fit inferior players.

Everybody's favourite new scapegoat. This awaits Gary MacKay Steven when he has a loss of form.

Best fans in the world.

Another Mark Burchill. Promised so much but, in reality, a bit of a one hit wonder. Destined for Aberdeen at best.

He has an unusual posture when running and this will inevitably lead to more and more injuries Sorry to say, but early retirement beckons.

No wonder when the fans get on his back as soon as he misplaces a pass.

Guy is obviously toiling and is short of confidence. It doesn't need fans getting on to him as soon as he goes near the ball.

Like I've said before these constant hamstring injuries have severely hampered his pace. He's never going to have the burst and acceleration he once had. It's not going to come back regardless of how long we wait or how patient we are with him.

As a result his direct style of play, knocking it past the full back and beating him for pace, doesn't work anymore. He can't beat people for pace anymore, he's not physically capable to accelerate explosively over 10 yards anymore. He knows this, so he doesn't even try. It's not a lack of confidence, he just can't do it anymore, hence he wanders aimlessly inside. There was one game last year where it was painfully apparent, he tried to take on some journeyman fullback three or four times, I think it was Tim Clancy or someone, but each time the full back comfortably had the speed to deal with him.

Think he needs a run of games before we can come to that conclusion and that's the problem...Think a lot of the frustration with Forrest is people have seen glimpses of how effective he can be.To be fair I'm sure he's more frustrated than anyone.

This.

Sadly he never seems to have enough time before getting injured again.

If it's constant hamstring injuries then his whole lifestyle might need looking at. Ryan Giggs had a lot of hamstring trouble at one point in his career which stopped him from committing to sprinting flat out for fear of injuring himself. He did everything to try to help it - had his sitting position and walking style looked at and even changed the pedals in his car.
As most will know he eventually took up yoga which he attributes to prolonging his career.
