Can't wait till Mackay-Steven is fit.
All seriousness what is it you have against GMS?

I actually thought he played well when he came into the team last season :ph43r:
He still hasn't got over the fact we went for GMS over his darling Peter Pawlett :ph43r:

I noted at one point when a decision did not go his way, there was no sitting on the ground huffing about it. He was on his feet and back with play. Effin finally! Credit to him, he took responsibility and kept driving us forward. That is exactly what we need from him, especially in games like tonight where the ball just did not seem to want to go in for us.

Not even close. Apart from the goal, he was as average as the rest of them bar Tierney and Toure.

a) people calling him GMS; and

b) he's rotten
Aye, I don't think GMS is good enough for us either, to be fair.
Just go back about two months and you'll find plenty of posts on here with the ludicrous notion that Makay-Steven was better than Forrest.

I know we have slagged the crap out of Deilas backroom team last season but the turnaround in Forrest and Lustigs injury record has been excellent.

Aye, that was my thinking. Got a goal and should have had a couple of assists to his name though so fair play.

He took responsibility on a few occasions last night, something that's been lacking from his game for years. He's had a fantastic start to the season and should be starting in front of Paddy.

He'd really pissed me off for a few years but he's turned it around spectacularly and should be commended for this. Still room for improvement but I'm enjoying watching him develop under BR.

Another great performance but he still runs like a crab on acid
There was an incident in the second half when he ran a fair distance to close down their keeper.
He had both arms outstretched as he was running. It just looked completely wrong.

Was one of the most frustrating players last night for me but to his credit he persevered and scored a good goal just at the point I was waiting for an Alloa sucker punch.

Only if he wore it round his waist and tucked his hands in it

That's one of the very reasons why he deserves to be our captain.

Even at that Makay-Steven wasn't exactly great and it was always more likely that an in form Forrest would deliver more than him.

Great goal. I was so glad he took it on his left. Was pulling my hair out with that chance he fluffed on the outside of his right.

If he was more two footed he'd be brilliant.

But he wasn't in form, in fact he'd been out of form for 3 years. Plenty thought he'd never get back to the level he's currently at. Forrest has had a complete turnaround but GMS had been far better than him before this season.
