He's left Brendan with quite the dilemma for the Sevco game in a couple of weeks. He's been good in most of the games he's played this season. Roberts brings that extra bit quality though. Big call for the manager.
I'd start wi' Jamesie.

Put Paddy on once Forrest's ran them ragged.

Yeah, agreed. You can imagine the terror Wallace would have with him coming on in the second half. Forrest would tire him out and then Paddy would rip him apart with his trickery.

Goal aside, crap today. Terrible passing and little movement, back to his usual it seems
He was decent today. Had a hand in the first goal and scored a cracker.
He chased back and constantly moved inside looking for a pass.
I do not know what game you were watching.
Something sticking in your craw.
Get over it.

You better hope Wallace doesn't read KDS. Otherwise that's our tactics leaked :nono:

Forrest, like a number of players, will improve for working with a professional manager as I believe more with each passing game that our last manager, ( while a lovely man I believe from anybody that met him) was a fexing charlatan!

Charlatan or not, Forrest was awful, as he was in Lennons last season when he actually played. That was then, this is now and Even when Forrest isn't playing well, he hasn't in the last 2 league games, he's scored 2 very good goals

Good goal today but didn't do much apart from that. Still, that's better than past seasons where we often saw him do nothing AND not score. It's progress!

An absolutely brilliant strike for his goal - all three open play goals were good but Forrest bent that round the keeper a peach

Great finish but needs to be a lot more direct, tends just to play safe side-way passes instead of properly skinning opposition fullbacks.

Forest's goal scoring record is better than the much vaunted McGeady.
Before it was " no end product" now it's " apart from the goal" .
Before it was " doesn't track back enough". Now it's " not direct enough"
He can't ever win with some people :ffs:

McGeady took plenty of stick on here too...and 'no end product' and 'doesn't score enough' could often be found in criticisms of him.

Cracking goal from James yesterday. We are in a great position on that side at the moment with Paddy available as well.

If this becomes the average James Forrest performance then we'll be a very lucky football team. A six or seven out of ten in general play and a goal at an important time. To expect more on a consistent basis is to want to be disappointed. He is playing as a wide forward not a winger and as such is drifting inside to support whomever is playing as striker. His game isn't solely about beating his direct opponent and getting balls into the box and while he can do more of this to judge him purely on this aspect of his game is wrong.

Thought the wee man was brilliant today. Both offensively and defensively. Constantly found space in the first half and put it some great balls. Had Wallace and McKay all over the place. Deserves his place as a starter

Thought he was average today. Saw lot of ball but did nothing with it.

Been good lately though and earned his start.

Agreed.

caught offside twice when he should have been looking along the line. had the beating of the full back in the first half but unlike Sinclair never seems to know what he is going to do with it and his final ball needs to be better.

Not his best day but still get pass marks.

Agreed very average today possibly the weakest link in the play at times. Looked to get rid of the ball as quick as possible .
