He's left Brendan with quite the dilemma for the Sevco game in a couple of weeks. He's been good in most of the games he's played this season. Roberts brings that extra bit quality though. Big call for the manager.

Not outstanding today but the whole team looked a bit weary - but he put the effort in and a class finish for his goal.

Another great goal today though I thought that was one of his poorer games under BR. Seeing Lustig and Brown get criticism for Aberdeen's goal but it was Forrest's sloppy pass which gave them the ball.

As for the question about him or Roberts? No contest, imo. Harsh on Forrest as his form has been great but Roberts is a class above and if fit should be starting matches. Especially against these fandans who cannot defend to save themselves. Forrest's pace later in the game could play an important part as their ancient defence/team tires.

Jamsey Quaresma likes an outside of the boot. That was a cracking finish.

Very harsh. His "usual" (past few years performances?) wouldn't have produced a finish like that. He was poor today in comparison to recent matches but he was still miles better than what he's been for the past few years.

Under Mackay-Steven rules, he would also get an assist for the first goal.

He wasn't great today but, the much criticised no end product, can't be held against him today.

Yup and his movement was excellent at times, especially when we were looking to counter attack. Not his fault no one found him with a pass every time.

Also chased back plenty, another criticism that's used against him.

Great finish. Thought Roberts showed more when he came on though.

Does he had an England u19 or u21 fixture(s) coming up? Would do him good to get another couple of weeks full training and a game or two in to fully sharpen up

As long as he's on the pitch when a goal is scored he gets credited with an assist. Even if he's just warming up at the corner flag on the opposite side of the pitch.

In fact, if he's standing on grass, anywhere, he gets the assist.

Yupp correct, we had a break on, but he passed/got robbed, by an Aberdeen player close to our box and they scored. Forrest, under Ronnie may have hid/gret/ got pished later and got his tadger oot after that. Under Brendan, he owed us, he paid us. Likey Likey. ( prob still get it oot but)
