A lot people on this forum must be getting fat on humble pie.
Forrest is in great from and this should be a lesson that getting the most out of players is a mixture of a lot of factors (manager, tactics, those a you are playing with).
I am responding as one of the posters who would have happily seen him leave and made no secret of it

A lot of people on the forum though are being quick to dismiss three and a bit seasons of very poor form after one month of vastly improved form

I'm delighted at the improvement - I don't want us to have bad players in the team - I actually want Celtic players to score goals and do well - Forrest appears at the moment to have taken a chance and has done very well - I'll maintain a consistent approach - it's great  and also, it's early days - I hope to see this level of performance over the coming weeks and months before we rewrite the book on Forrest

Not saying I don't like humble pie but I'm till on my starter of 'ok it might not be as bad as you thought' pâté - waiting on a main course of 'I told you so steak and chips'

Thought I was in the Rogic thread and had a serious WTF moment there.

The 'bin him' people seem to be claiming he was only ever terrible for the entire last 3 yrs which is not true

Most of the criticism seemed to come from the 'mind readers' who claim he gave, stopped trying etc.
His poorest form was in RD's era which may just be the key factor.

There's a risk that rather than admit they might be wrong some are just waiting for the next poor match(and there is always one for most players) to say ' i told you so'

Rotten but then again so was Brown, Gordon, Janko, Tierney, Bitton. Needs to make up for it but Roberts should be back in for the next game.

Nowhere near the worst player on the park. McGregor, Janko, Gordon and Tierney were all far worse and should have been hooked early.

He was absolutely horrible and even Rogic tracked back more than him when on. Strange considering the strides he's made in recent weeks.

Add to that Brown's display and you wonder just how a player can go from above average/very good to abysmal in just one match. :ponder:

Cannot be a Celtic fan on the planet who believes we can turn to this guy to do anything significant when the going gets really tough.

Predictably abject when the question is actually asked. Although, he is far from alone.

Hopefully the manager realises sooner, than after another away Euro defeat.
