Seems to have manned up quite a bit.
Far less likely to sit down & throw his arms up after being tackled.
More. Likely to get up & chase back, trying to regain possession.
Not seen as much coo's lick flicking going on either.

In short, his attitude is vastly improved & that's what was holding him back IMO.

I thought Forrest was having a poor game yesterday until he scored. He struggles more against organised defences who sit deep, whereas that's where Robert excels. Whereas teams who push up are more suited to Forrest using his pace.

Horses for courses, and not the worst problem to have.

Forrest should start on Tuesday, even if Roberts is fit. He's in form, and the game is more suited to him.
Away from home in Europe suits a runner like Forrest as opposed to a ball retainer like Paddy?

I'd have to strongly disagree, particularly following Astana over by.
Fair point. Assuming we're looking to score, Forrest would be a better option against a high line. Keeping hold of the ball, aye, Roberts.

Fair effs: he's proving me wrong. Long may it continue
Everyone knew Forrest had the ability but it was so angering to watch him playing like he couldn't give a shampoo. I always rated him and it's great to see him looking more like the thing, but it will take a lot for me to forget his half-hearted performances in the hoops.

 in view of Robers just coming back I think Forrest will be the option in any case. Part of me wants us to go and do our job and defend the lead but I'm not sure this side are ready for that yet and then I think we should just play as we did in the first leg. Ha feeling the heat will naturally temper our game anyhow.

Head's all over the shop worrying about it in short.

I can't see BR setting us up to invite them on us anyway TBH, not his style.

The game is 7:45 CP time, which is 9:45 their time so hopefully the heat won't be too much of an issue.

Had Roberts got game time yesterday, he might have had a chance at starting on Tuesday but I think it might be a bit much to throw him into a European away game when he hasn't had any game time for the last few weeks so Posted Image will probably start, Paddy might come on when Hapoel get more heavy legged and start running at them.

Don't worry. :) This is our year. I know I say that every year  but it definitely is this time. :walkon:

Don't think Forrest's goal scoring record would point to him being the better option. Not over Roberts anyway.

Wasn't really talking about their goalscoring, more their ability to get past the fullback and create something for the striker. Roberts doesn't have the pace to exploit a defence that's sitting high up, Forrest doesn't have the skill to go through a defence that's sitting deep.

All relatively speaking of course.

Roberts is a far better player
Agreed, but he's not ours. Forrest has just signed a new deal that will see him here long after Roberts has returned south.
Which would then suggest that we should make the most of Roberts while we have him, no?

Forrest has been great since he got his chance and doesn't deserve to be dropped but Roberts is a class above anything else in this country so when fit we should be looking to play him when possible. Was only a few weeks back he was so good v Barcelona that even their manager commented on how good he is.

Forrest should absolutely get the nod on Tuesday, mind.

I think Rodgers will utilise all three - Roberts in the bigger games to create and open games up with Forrest (providing he keeps up current form) coming on to run at them when they are tiring - Similar scenario re Sinclair - In games whereby he wants direct running from all three upfront from kick off Forrest may well start.

Cracking position to be in for the Good Guys.

Rodgers is going to have a pretty tough decision to make when Roberts is fully fit.

Forrest is in outstanding form so it would be pretty tough for him to be dropped.

A lot people on this forum must be getting fat on humble pie.
Forrest is in great from and this should be a lesson that getting the most out of players is a mixture of a lot of factors (manager, tactics, those a you are playing with).
