Did you see the game. if you did and thought he was horrendous that tells us an awful lot about you.
Check the MOM and then tell all of those who had Forrest in their top three( which was the majority ) they know eff all about the game.
because that is really what you are saying in your post.
At no point did I say he had a bad game today ? If I did show me ? My point is a couple of decent performances a season aren't good enough .
My apologies to you jpk. it was intended as a response to Stibhans post.

Interesting that since Ronny both Lustig and Forrest have had better luck with injuries. He made a big deal about managing the injuries and slowly but surely letting the players trust their body again.

I'll admit I've kinda closed my mind to Forrest & was hoping that he'd move on as it was looking that he would; just dont see him kicking on here & being effective in the squad, never mind the first team. Wingers always blow hot & cold but hes of another order. Its nothing personal with the guy, dont care hes always preening his hair, to me its about expectations of what players can contribute when moving up from development squad; he gives the impression of someone who is in a comfort zone and, given the amount of players who are regularly culled from the development squad, that isnt the right sort of impression Id want from those who do come up.

We need competitive players & Im sorry if Ive judged the guy harshly but wouldnt be offering a contract to him. That said if he does get a new contract I really hope he gets into double figures in goals & keeps injury free.
I think the majority on here feel the same. The problem is we've seen enough to accept that it's probably not going to happen.

If that makes me and you fannies then so be it. :(
I do not have a problem with the Forrest detractors that recognize there is a talent there, but did not perform too well under Ronnie.
That said you have to wonder about the posters who came across as detesting him and denying that he had any skills
whatsoever.
I too am looking for consistency from him. He certainly has the talent.

FFS, Lustig played 46 games last season.

I'm as relieved to see the back of Deila as anyone, but theres no point just making pish up.

Yes it was although my wording was slightly suspect. Deila made quite a few references to how they would manage both players persistent injuries. I'm hopeful that with Forrest he is now at the stage he feels he can put on the after burners once again. Time will tell but he certainly is showing signs of that pace once again

Listening to BR, he likes players with pace. Forrest has the pace and as yesterday showed, he can finish with either foot!
However he lacks a trick or two to beat a man and his game intelligence isn't great either.
If he gets a new deal he will have to improve his all round game if he wants to last longer than a season or two.
Would not be surprised if he was still allowed to leave in January, BR might be working him a bit the way MON did with Bobby Petta for a while
To say that he can finish with either foot is a bit extreme. For a professional footballer, his striking technique is one of the worst I've seen- see his penalties, for example. Brown scored a great goal against them with his left foot, but I wouldn't say he can strike with either foot! I hope wee James has turned things around with his fitness, performances and attitude, but his previous record doesn't bode well. Time will tell.

'Twas meant to be a bit tongue in cheek about his finishing tbh

I was gonna say

All this time he's been hitting shots with his right foot... Then all of a sudden a left footed shot and it's in the back of the net.

Cut the right one off Jamesy.
