Just waiting for all the fannies who slate him every week come on to even admit he played well.

Could be a while.
>Awfully quiet when he's shampooe, which is the majority of the time
>Forrest has one good game
>"I WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG U GUIZE"

I'll be astonished if this form lasts. Hope it does, but I doubt it.

Speaking of posters being way off the mark, mind you saying Tierney was never a left back?

Great finish today. Easily his best attempt of the match, im pretty sure one of his other ones ended up in the old school next door.

Anyways he did play well at times but like others have said, runs straight into men, couldnt get balls accross or cut back, generally he was ok today. Thats a huge improvement though on what he has been giving us.

Did you see the game. if you did and thought he was horrendous that tells us an awful lot about you.
Check the MOM and then tell all of those who had Forrest in their top three( which was the majority ) they know eff all about the game.
because that is really what you are saying in your post.
I'll say it :arrr:

Anyone who had Forrest in their top 3 knows eff all and were somehow confused by a semi decent performance that they've turned it into something it was not - he was not better than Kolo Brown Tierney Lustig or O'conner for a start

I get people want him to be better than he is - want him to be the player Lennon said he was but he's not been - sorry - I dont want him to be shampooe but he has been

We need to stop hoping he turns in more than the odd moment and actually have a team that's capable of performing better than we have had in recent years - a decent game is welcome but it doesn't change much - he needs to do so much more and do it consistently - something I don't think he's done since 2011/12 season

P.S. Who's O'Conner? Think you might be a wee bit confused there. Or know eff all

Showed glimpses of what he's capable of but after a good start I thought the fullback upped him game against him.

Should probably give Ronny Deila credit for giving james the time to rebuild his body and get himself back in shape :)

I reckon there would be fair chance he would do exactly that . What do you call it when a player has ability and consistently fails to perform to the best of the ability ? I would say thats chucking it , can't be arsed ? call it what you want. Get rid asap as he will only let us all down again.

At no point did I say he had a bad game today ? If I did show me ? My point is a couple of decent performances a season aren't good enough .

Callum McGregor got way more grief last year in games where he scored but frustrated after. But I suppose he doesn't have remy to come on here and back him up every time he has a good game.

Everyone's a floof except Remy. And that weejimmy chap.

The rest of us are smelly, hairy fannies because James Forrest had his first 7/10 performance for 4 years. The Oracle has spoken, any argument to the contrary will be met with glib, snarky comments and smugness until James' next disinterested, anonymous showing. At which point he'll be joined in anonymity by his white knights. Again.

He's been good in the last two games. As always, the issue with him will be whether he can maintain that form for a prolonged period or whether he'll get injured / lose form / go in a huff.

Don't think he was good against Astana. Showed very little when on the left - actually got in Tierney's way a couple of times.

Better when switched to the right. That said, think he only got beyond his man once or twice.

Anyway, the manager thinks he can make a player of him so hopefully he signs and kicks on.

He seems to be improving and if BR has faith in him then I'm not opposed to him getting a new deal. I'm still concerned that he's always one bad game or one niggly injury away from a complete loss of confidence.

He's quick and presses the ball so well which will be why he's playing and others aren't. From what I seen yesterday, he beat their full back more than a few times, had a couple of digs at goal and put in a few decent crosses as well as scoring a peach. More of this please James.

Perhaps BR will do this man good but he will need to maintain and better the Hearts level of performance and take a hard think about the deal he has been offered and where he sees his career going.

He played well. Slating a player for continually not playing well does not make you a floof. What makes you a floof is gloating when a player plays his first decent game in feckin yonks as if its some sort of vindication.

Would be great if he renews.....once he does that he can settle and hopefully BR can build his confidence....he can open up defences....score goals and has pace....he's worth it!

I'll admit I've kinda closed my mind to Forrest & was hoping that he'd move on as it was looking that he would; just dont see him kicking on here & being effective in the squad, never mind the first team. Wingers always blow hot & cold but hes of another order. Its nothing personal with the guy, dont care hes always preening his hair, to me its about expectations of what players can contribute when moving up from development squad; he gives the impression of someone who is in a comfort zone and, given the amount of players who are regularly culled from the development squad, that isnt the right sort of impression Id want from those who do come up.

We need competitive players & Im sorry if Ive judged the guy harshly but wouldnt be offering a contract to him. That said if he does get a new contract I really hope he gets into double figures in goals & keeps injury free.

I'm glad he's come in to a bit of form. He's amongst a few others who should probably be forgiven for last season's dross.
