Very good week for James. Obviously rated by Brendan much higher than many on here ( including me )

Didn't want him in the side today as I reckoned Hearts would be putting the boot in ( which they did ) and didn't really see James enjoying the physical side of the game.

Put a shift in during the week , caused Hearts some problems today and scored a belter.

Remains to be seen if he can keep it going - hopefully galvanised by BR , the emergence of Roberts and the arrival of Sinclair.

Always been a fan. Keep him fit and he'll do great under Rodgers.

I'm sure it will be adjoined with 'still not good enough' etc etc.

In a world where Armstrong and McGregor are playing regularly in the center of the park Forrest isn't the biggest problem in that team. Rodgers spoke very highly of him so I think some folk might need to get used to him staying around.

If that's more like his normal performance then he's more than welcome to stick around.

Could this be a fabled big season for the wee man? Wrote him off during the summer but looks to have a bit of zest about him again.

Forrest undoubtedly played well today and his first goal for the club in 8 months - as well as being a beauty - was more than welcome.

But it's only when he can replicate that sort of display in multiple consecutive games, not just every now and then, that he'll earn plaudits again.

Swallows and summer etc.

No, not a couple of exotic actors, but I'll not be patting wee Jamsey on the back after his first effective game in how long?

He's been pish for far too long. If Rodgers can get him performing at a good level then magic, but he'll have to earn the trust of quite a few supporters.

I really hope this is now a clean slate, he knuckles down, shows what he is capable of consistently and earns a new contract.

Good game today but I see him as an impact player.

Roberts and Sinclair streets ahead.

Getting on a bit

All he needs is a run of good games and a large injection of confidence/self belief, the talent is there, he can go past people at will. Hopefully BR can get the best out of him, played well in bursts today, needs to build on it and hopefully he can kick on.

MOTM? Not even close imo.

Superb finish, I'd be delighted if he gets back to his best form.

Looks like Brendan has finally got through to him now time to decide how far he wants to go in the game cause if he plays like he has been the last few games consistently the wee man could turn it around.
