Bad news for the haters in here......Brendan wants him offered a new contract......but hey ho , it's not as if Brendan knows more than the haters

Are you saying you think he is worth keeping at the club?

The quality of the squad requires to be massively improved while the numbers are reduced by getting rid of the deadwood.

Forrest is part of this process - a winger who - even if he stays fit - doesn't beat men , cross the ball , chip in with goals or look as if he gives a toss is a drain on resources we can't afford.

A winger being a star turn twice a season is about as much good to us as Efe being fine for 89 minutes in a game.

This line of thinking that a manager must know more than the fans is utter nonsense. Was hoping it'd have been put to bed after it was used against doubters of the Cole and Kazim-Richards signings but obviously not.

I've long been a fan but it's best for both parties that he leaves. He offers very little now and I don't foresee any improvement in his game. His inability to stay onside today sums up how inept he has become.

Brendan spent nearly £300m at Liverpool (including over £32.5m on benteke) and won nothing. It is correct to not assume he always gets it right about a player.

Was there not some transfer committee he had to work with at Liverpool?

That's pretty obvious.
Nonetheless, the level of self-righteous negativity on this, and forums generally, is pretty hilarious,

He was good fora while though. Gone backwards and doesn't even look particularly bothered now.

Even more apparent when Roberts is playing on the opposite wing.
That's the thing. He was good. But people got carried away and thought he was something special. He had limited technical ability but his pace and willingness to take people on made for some electrifying moments. However he was only ever a kick and rush merchant who was good at skinning fullbacks but was erratic at everything else. Then full backs wised up to him, repeated hamstring injuries made him lose his explosiveness and it became a struggle. At which point he seemed to give up trying to find new ways to be effective and just moan at refs and team mates when he failed to beat his man again. He lost his appetite and hunger and is now an empty jersey. He's not going to improve because he never adapted his game when he needed to.
Nailed it :theclap:

The wee carrot doesn't care. He just doesn't give a eff about the club, teammates or supporters.
To be fair most ***** don't give a shampoo about their jobs.
Most folk don't get paid excessive amounts of money to not give a eff.

Seen nothing from him in the games so far to suggest that he's improved any. A waste of a jersey, surely one of the Development squad would do a better job and worth more time and money investing in.

This wee guy seems to pull the wool over most folks eyes......

Except other teams, not a single enquiry made to Celtic about him whilst the contract offer was there and hes still to find somewhere since the contract became unavailable.

I think I'm like most celtic supporters and want our players to do well, especially if they have come up through the ranks. I felt as excited as most when james came on the scene and held high hopes for him, probably longer than his performances deserved, I think people are getting confused between hate and abject disappointment. Haitch's point really hits home the truth of the matter, 8 goals in 3 seasons is an astonishing statistic and one that alludes to james' real worth to the team. Time to let go.
