he didn't reject the last contract offer it was pulled by celtic and put out that he had :nono:

he took some amount of abuse for that

if BR wants him and thinks he can do something with him that's fine - i'm sure any deal with forrest whether us or anyone else will include protection for the club v serial sickies

Of course it will. He'll definitely sign something that means Celtic will pay him less when he's injured. Most players would, all the honest ones do dont they?

Oh look, a pig outside my window.

He got abuse cos he chucked it at that point.

More understandable if that's what happened though.

Regardless of who ended the previous round of talks, I'd like him to leave now.

Why is he getting on before Roberts?! He obviously doesn't want to be here so don't put him on in a qualifier!

All the millions who miss out on a career in football because of mentality. How did he make it in the first place? That took huge determination to even make it as a pro.

So where the eff is that mentality now? It's utterly gone. He's bereft of any desire to be a effing footballer from the looks of things. He can't even pretend that he'd gutted that he's so clearly leaving Celtic. It's his own fault. When Forrest was injured, we all gave him time. Everyone did, he was a youngster with lots of potential. What did Forrest offer to us in return during injury though? From the looks of it he never watched our games, nevermind any games. Anyone, IMO anyway, with the ability and the mindset to truly make it (like he showed as a kid) would be doing coaching badges. When he was spending yet more time changing how he drove and stuff in a bid to get fit, I thought well done. It showed a desperation to find the source of his injuries.

He clearly never showed the same determination to learn the game. Makes the same mistakes now as ever - he's the rawest adult I've ever seen play football. He's shocking at times, like he's still getting taught by his da in the garden. Would you not perhaps learn more about the game? You've been told your pace is maybe effed with all the injuries. So you start learning more about the tactical side etc. and make up for your limitations. Or you would expect that. He clearly never done anything of the sort, and now it shows.

That athleticism that used to let him fly by people with a good knock-on FIFA 16 style is gone. He's done. He tries it now and gets caught. It's always the same things. Never any quality, skill, intelligence or technique on what he tries. It's the same old thing. A blind, straight run here, a woeful shot there. Mind when he scored from distance? Mind when he beat people and came inside? Then went back outside? When he had charisma on the ball and a bit of mixture to his play?

Since his first serious injuries it's just been going from his play. He now plays like one of those shampooe centre mids who just passes it first time to the nearest teammate. Offers no invention or movement, just the same inside pass or simple backpass. A boring footballer these days, and that's the worst thing. He's so limited in what he thinks to do he's dreadful to watch.

Looks finished as a effing professional, his attitude to football looks to be one of utter derision. I genuinely can't fathom how someone who made it can just not give a eff the way he seems to. Maybe I'm totally wrong on him. It looks like when he was injured he never came on from that young kid who made mistakes. Now he's got no speed he's the young adult who makes mistakes. With no willingness to learn the sport he plays properly, why keep him?

Agh. Frustrating that he even still plays for us. Always hoped he'd make it and turn it around but this "big season for James" thing has to end.

He's the footballing equivalent of the Maginot Line.

To think I actually defended him for a significant period of time.

Could go to Hibs for a season and spend much of the time on the bench on this now years long, pathetic form.

I defend him on here but he was pish when he came on. Not in our top three worst performers but still very very pish.

However, you have to ask questions of Rodgers when we are begging for width he puts Forrest on and sticks him wide left. That made no sense at all. Doesn't excuse the very very pish performance though.
