See this no interested in playing with us pish.

Do you all think Brendan Rodgers is a feckin eejit that is going to waste time on someone that doesn't want to stay. Give the manager some credit ffs, im pretty sure he'll have already spoken to Forrest.
I think you should read Rodgers' quotes in that interview.

Forrest is only a few months older than Scott Allen. Why is one given a free pass when the other isn't?

Forrest has far more experience than Allen and should be kept.
I'd guess Allen gets more leeway because he was signed less than a year ago and has hardly played. Forrest has been playing for 7 years now.

Is Allen even given much of a pass? The only time people even mention him is when they're bitching about how shampoo he is and how he's rightly never been given a chance.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deepHe has no interest in staying.
The contract was withdrawn because his agent was acting the carrot.
That's a rubbish excuse, the fact remains Forrest didn't sign what was put in front of him. He could have easily found another agent.

If he really wanted to stay he would have signed before now.

Forrest hadn't decided on the deal he was offered.
What? :ponder:

I think you fundamentally miss how the agent relationship works. The player instructs the agent, the player makes the final decision, not the agent.

If the player wants to sign he signs regardless of what the agent wants.

I think you fundamentally simplify how the agent relationship works.

The players don't all have Charlie Mulgrew's confidence when it comes to negotiating.

No I don't. The final decision rests with the player not the agent.

If the agent wants the player to sign he has no authority to agree the contract until the player says so.

I can't believe the amount of time this imposter gets, he has been stealing a wage for the past 4 years. Give him his payoff and let him go.

Yes, of course that is correct.

Amazingly some players can be easily led and some players can be badly advised.

Yep, I 100% agree with you there  however, the final decision is still the players to make and the consequences of that decision are still the players. (for reference see: Sterling, Raheem - ie Mr "wouldn’t sign a £900,000 a week deal at Liverpool" )

If James hired the wrong person, it's not Celtic's fault, it's his own and every bad decision that follows on is also James's fault, as such he deserves no slack from Celtic on this.

He's made his bed now he has to lie in it.

I still stand by the assertion if he'd been any cop we would have sold him by now.

But he's not so we haven't.

Another big season for Forrest then.

Deila gave him time to overcome his injuries, he's been fit for the longest spell any of us can remember. It's now or never.

Personally I think he should have been let go already. But we'll see how he goes for 6 months.

Deila didn't 'give him time to overcome his injuries'.

Deila said he wouldn't play again until he was fully over any injury problems then threw him in half fit against Legia at Murrayfield in a complete panic move.

Laugh all you want. It's true.

Deila said he would not play as he had been rushed back too quickly too often and he would not play him until he had time to fully fund his fitness. Only to throw him in against Legia a few days later. Much like he didn't believe in loan signings, he wouldn't change too much too quickly, he would have a small squad, he would dominate possession against Barcelona etc etc

Wonder what he does in training to have 3 managers raving about him. I don't think he's worth it but if he's hanging around happy for Rodgers to get him going again.

Torn on this. I thought he was decent if a bit injury prone under Lennon but was honking last year. Would like to see how he would do under Rodgers though but only if the money and length of deal were right.

Did he only play one half so far, out of 3 pre season games?
Even Efe played more & he arrived late.

I'm probably reading too much into this, but hopefully he is for the off - more likely pulling a sickie again though.
Either way, he shouldn't get another contract & brendan should see this I hope.
