So much wrong with this :ffs:

He had!!!!! pace. He is nowhere near as fast as he used to be. Can't remember the last time he went by a player oh or scored a goal? 6 goals in 2 seasons is utter rank. What big games are these? Karagandy al give you but him "doing it" in other big games? What games are those?

He has always been a one trick pony and now that trick has gone you are seeing him for the pish he is. Can't be shown the door quick enough
Scored in League Cup final which was Deila's first trophy at the club. Or do cup finals no count?
He is that much of a big game player he was on the bench most of that match :ffs: Yay he scored a second against a tiring team that's worth a new contract for sure

He joins the elite list of Celtic players to score in cup finals which includes Jean-Joel Perrier Doumbe and Dion Dublin.
You're just being silly now.

always think it's strange ho decent football people seem to rate players fans don't like. Strachan, Lennon and now Rodgers seem to rate Forrest, yet he is unpopular with most fans.
I know Forrest is frustrating as eff but in my opinion you have to be a bit daft if you can't see what managers see in him and players like him. He's got pace. He can go past a player. He can score goals. Not just against SPFL fodder but also in big games. I understand if fans are frustrated by Forrest because he hasn't turned out as good as they hoped or because his time at the club has been filled with inconsistent form or just his stupid mannerisms on the pitch but he is one of only a few players in the squad who could realistically play in a higher level league. Most fans seem to add his frustrating behaviour to his poor form and conclude he is a shampooe player. This isn't true.

Every Celtic player when asked on Celtic TV in the "Teammates" feature, who is the fastest player in the squad, say it's Forrest, so he obviously still has pace

I am, in all seriousness though he's been playing regularly for the club for 5/6 years and has made a positive contribution in about 2 big games.

Folk just seem to be going out there way to make excuses for him "At least he has pace" "He scored in a cup final once" "Karagandy".

He's had more than enough chances to prove his worth and continually fails to impress. His 1 good game in 10 isn't enough for me and nor it should be for anyone.

That says more about the rest if a man with dodgy hamstrings is still the fastest. He is NOWHERE near as fast as he once was. Stevie Wonder in the dark can see that

I'm not saying he doesn't try. I am saying that he doesn't try hard enough.
I'm not saying he isn't any good. I am saying he isn't good enough.

Great news

I'm not a 'Forrest hater' but great news that we might be extending the contract of someone with 17 goals in 113 appearances over the last 4 seasons.

Seriously?

What's the problem there? The number of games or goals or both?

He's a bit rubbish. We'll struggle to push forward while we're still hanging onto the likes of Mulgrew, Brown and Forrest. This club needs an enema.

Well, that was a quick honeymoon period for BR, signing up Mulgrew and now Forrest. He obviously doesn't read kds, so how the heck is he going to properly manage this team?

That's funny.

Like eff could he play at a higher level.

Other than Karagandy I can't recall him scoring in a big game. Ajax was a penalty so I wouldn't count that as an example of his goalscoring ability in big games.
