Always injured, rarely beats a man, always cuts inside and creates nothing, also strikes me as a bit of a moany arsehole who I don't enjoy watching. Leave.
This.

Probably tried to leave already, but couldn't get past the door.

I'm not a fan of Forrest, never have been, I find his whole attitude rather defeatist when he loses possession BUT and I can't believe I'm saying this but he does have many similarities to his game as Raheem Sterling and I'm wondering if Brendan Rodgers has noticed this too, he brought the best out in him and if we're offering him a new contract I'm guessing he thinks he can do the same for Forrest, I suppose it highlights the faith I've got in Rodgers more than anything else.

Feck off. First Mulgrew and now this injury prone nippy sweetie. Creates nothing but does it at speed.

Why use a wage that would be better invested elsewhere?

Interesting, I'm not too fussed but we know there was a player there, I think Rodgers will get more from the squad than Deila and a guy like Forrest could still do a job here and there thru a season.

I wouldn't be against keeping him to see if an actual manager can get a performance out of him again but talk of a long term deal is ludicrous. Give him a deal with a break clause after a year so if he continues his shampoo form he can GTF.

always think it's strange how decent football people seem to rate players fans don't like. Strachan, Lennon and now Rodgers seem to rate Forrest, yet he is unpopular with most fans.

Not really - Lennon was based on form years ago - same with strachan and not done much for Scotland - also I've decided to treat the CQN piece as drivel - mainly coz I don't agree

If true, he's arguably the luckiest player in Celtic history. He's done absolutely nothing to warrant a new contract. He's lucky to even still be at the club, he must be world class in training because he's done the square root of hee haw on the field since Karagandy.

I know Forrest is frustrating as eff but in my opinion you have to be a bit daft if you can't see what managers see in him and players like him. He's got pace. He can go past a player. He can score goals. Not just against SPFL fodder but also in big games. I understand if fans are frustrated by Forrest because he hasn't turned out as good as they hoped or because his time at the club has been filled with inconsistent form or just his stupid mannerisms on the pitch but he is one of only a few players in the squad who could realistically play in a higher level league. Most fans seem to add his frustrating behaviour to his poor form and conclude he is a shampooe player. This isn't true.

So much wrong with this :ffs:

He had!!!!! pace. He is nowhere near as fast as he used to be. Can't remember the last time he went by a player oh or scored a goal. 6 goals in 2 seasons is utter rank. What big games are these? Karagandy al give you but him "doing it" in other big games? What games are those?

He has always been a one trick pony and now that trick has gone you are seeing him for the pish he is. Can't be shown the door quick enough

Sorry - I'm not having that

He's been consistently poor and doesn't do any of the things you are giving him credit for - not for years - what's truly baffling is people's opinions on Forrest are still based on how he played years ago - years - he's had chance after chance and it's fair to chuck his character into the mix - went in cream puff played crap and refused a contract

Quite frankly this is a move in the wrong direction - I want to see quality signed not someone who has been let off with years of garbage because he still has 'potential'

I'm hoping though the story is guff and BR isn't planning on dishing out 5 year deals after 5 days of pre season

Scored in League Cup final which was Deila's first trophy at the club. Or do cup finals no count?

He joins the elite list of Celtic players to score in cup finals which includes Jean-Joel Perrier Doumbe and Dion Dublin.
