Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Tierney has great potential and Rogic is nice one the eye at times but they've still to do it at a level Forrest has.
Paddy Roberts hasn't played a second of Champions League football but only an idiot would argue he isn't better than Forrest in every conceivable way.

Rogic and Tierney made huge contributions to Celtic last season, Forrest showed early season promise and faded off as per. The guy should be coming into his prime yet he's struggling to even reach the levels he did as a teenager. His time is up. Some people have to let it go.
Paddy Roberts isn't our player and isn't obtainable so it's a bit useless to compare them. As you say Forrest at 24 is approaching his prime, why not compare him to the favourite of all Contrary Mary housewives on KDS, Scott Allan who at the same age has done eff all for any club at any level yet has cheerleaders coming out his ears?

Rogic and Tierney are both younger and both much better

Because neither have played in a Celtic team as good as Forrest has.

Clearly both are better footballers despite not having scored penalties v Ajax or tap ins v Karagandy.

Does it really matter who's better? Does it add anything to the argument? Forrest is a better winger than either of Tierney or Rogic because they're not wingers.

Forrest had/has good potential but he's been very unlucky with injuries and hasn't progressed the way the majority assumed he would. If he could stay fit and start to play at his best then I'd love him to sign a new contract.

But that wasn't what was claimed. It was claimed Forrest is our best young player. Tierney and Rogic are both younger and are both better.

Forrest seems to have been around for a lot longer than the actual time he's been in the first team squad. For whatever reason he's only been a bit part player most of the time and is rarely seen now. I'm surprised he was offered a four year contract and wondering why he turned it down. Was it due to the money on offer and/or does he think he can better himself elsewhere? That's his choice.

Not many players in recent years have divided supporters opinion the way Forrest has. I don't think he'll be missed in the slightest.

Forest is a players that does my nut in, but is responsible for a couple of moments in europe that i thank him for, his goal in moscow and the winner to put us through against karagandy, just wish he was consistent.

But he is consistent... He's consistently a waste of a jersey.

I saw someone say Forrest is approaching his 'prime'. We had Derk for 2 seasons in his 'prime'.

Forrest is always injured and when he's not he doesn't play well. I can't imagine for the life of me why anyone rates him, apart from the fact they like wee Scottish guys in the team.

Every player must be given a chance now under Rodgers. I've feckin slaughtered some of the players this season. Brown and Mulgrew in particular. Yes I think they should have been binned but it's a new manager and he is going to give everyone a shot. No point moaning about past performances now. It's a clean slate

He can't give everyone a shot - the squad is bloated and needs serious gutting sharpish

We need better quality than we have - Forrest comes into that category - we need better and more consistent and let's not forget he effectively chucked it under Ronny - got no time for players like that

He's not alone but i am not prepared to write off 4 pish seasons and give him another chance - I do realise it's got eff all to do with me - I'm not the manager - just my opinion but I'd love to see a few heading out the door pretty soon

Correct. Brendan is sharp as a tack. He's done his analysis and despite his coaching and psychological ability to improve players will be looking to sell around 10 players this window and phase more in the coming season. Forrest's contractual position is a catalyst to his departure and he'll be a decent addition to a championship club for anything over 500k.
