Agree his heart isn't in it. So for that reason when he goes I hope he falls flat on his arse Wouldn't be surprised if he starts off well with a new club. Then falls away

I have a funny feeling Forrest may just pull his socks up with a change of scenery.. Hes gone stale here and downed tools long ago

Ill never forget the night I nearly road raged some wee tadger in a souped up car on Byres Rd, for driving like a clown.. Then noticed Forrest sitting in the passenger seat with his club tracksuit on.. Hes a wee floof and needs to leave to maybe grow up and fulfil his potential.. All IMO of course
Come on now. Forrest is a wee floof and needs to grow up because his pal drives like a bam?
Yes... Bottle of bud in hand laughing like eff at his pal causing alsort of shampoo

Probably had his cock out too :arrr:

If he was at another spl or championship side we would be trying to sign him on the cheap

It's actually 28 games 2 goals 2 assists this season so it's even worse. Really scary that such a poor return would result in a 4 year contract and a wage rise? If Ronny sanctioned this you have to ask why?

As others have pointed out, the fact that he was offered a 4 year deal is laughable - he's rubbish
I dont know, you always have to weigh up the fact you could end up replacing him with an even bigger haddie like Boerrigter..

Probably the right time for him to move on TBH....appears to have gone as far as he can with us.

Would have been preferable to do the old "sign a new contract now, then we'll sell you on in the summer and you get to pocket 10% of the transfer fee" deal, but realistically he probably knows he needs to be available as a "bargain" signing to get himself a decent club.

Could have been a real star for us and gone on to grace bigger leagues if he'd delivered on his early promise....but he relied too long on little more than using his pace to drive in to the box and draw a foul or get a shot away. Once the SPL cluggers had kicked that out of him and he started either staying wide or getting rid of the ball early to avoid getting hurt he became much less effective.
It's a shame, he could have been something special if he'd either developed a bit of craft to go with his pace or else learned how to protect himself without hiding out on the wing or getting rid of the ball before anyone gets near him.

Anyhoo, like almost all of our players who move on I'll wish him luck in the rest of his career (unless he's playing against us as some point of course)
RB,
I agree with you, I wish him all the best. Your summary was admirably charitable.

If he wishes to move on I hope he has a long, injury free career and reaches the highest heights possible.

Unfortunately his highest hights are in the past. Terrible isn't it, but not the worst thing to have to say.

Unlike the injury blether that has polluted my head on here & elsewhere...... the problem with Jamesy is in his head.

I would guess the contract offer is piss poor or performance based and that's why he's not interested in signing it? He's also likely to have been told that he'll need to significantly improve if he is to feature regularly in the first team.

He has offered little or nothing for a good while now. When he does play his game is hampered by a laissez-faire attitude that rubs supporters up the wrong way, few of which rate him and most would be happy to see him move on.

He was a great prospect but he ultimately failed to delivery and ended being a big disappointed. It's best for all involved if he goes.

See ya James. Enjoy obscurity. :Bye:

From what I read (can't remember where) he's knocked it back and had been told it's no longer on offer. As they say - the deal is aff!

Strangely enough, I think when he's playing for a smaller team and the pressure is off, he could improve.

I'm not sure why there is all the ill will. When he is form he is a crackin wee player. It's went a bit pear shaped with the injuries. Probably realizing football is a short career he is probably seeing what the market is wiling to pay. He has been one of the best players to come out of the youth system in the last 10 years.
