The last decent game i can remember Forrest having is away at Kilmarnock earlier this season, he was pretty much unplayable. He only produces that every 20 odd games though, no use to us

Reckon he will be at hibs or Motherwell in a couple of years tbh.

Not that great and I reckon he is the type that will get homesick. I'm sure I read Lennon had to help him a lot when he moved to Glasgow from effing Ayrshire as he thought the drives were causing his injuries

I wouldn't be in too much of a hurry to move Izzy on. Tierney's done an outstanding job but I'm still concerned that we're risking burning him out if we play him too much - and we've got no other options in that position. Besides which, Izzy has been a decent servant and is more than capable at left back. Unless and until he's replaced, I'm keen for him to stay.
Im sure if there is talk of Izzy moving on they will replace him. I dont think it will take much to replace him especially as its just for back up/competition. That should hopefully deal with the burn out concerns.
No need, we have Mulgrew

I have a funny feeling Forrest may just pull his socks up with a change of scenery.. Hes gone stale here and downed tools long ago

Ill never forget the night I nearly road raged some wee tadger in a souped up car on Byres Rd, for driving like a clown.. Then noticed Forrest sitting in the passenger seat with his club tracksuit on.. Hes a wee floof and needs to leave to maybe grow up and fulfil his potential.. All IMO of course

Come on now. Forrest is a wee floof and needs to grow up because his pal drives like a bam?

Grossly exaggerated ability. Has never fulfilled early promise. Been unlucky with injuries but even though he's now supposedly been fully fit for the longest spell in a few years, he doesn't produce.

Spends more time putting his hand through his hair than running at defenders and as looked half baked this season. A player who has taken in all the hype and has an unjustified mega ego. He'll never cut it at a decent level in England. Somebody has obviously shown interest when he's knocking back a 4 year contract with us, so maybe I've got it all wrong. We'll see.

i liked him when he broke through, good pace and pretty direct, scored a couple of nice goals. always good to see a kid breaking into the first team

but he hasn't progressed at all, even now when he hasn't been injured for five minutes

his performance against east kilbride the other week was absolutely pathetic, either through apathy or genuine lack of ability due to changes made to his game to accommodate his physical deficiencies

either way, we won't really miss him and i'm not sure he'll make it at a level higher than league one down south

I think he's implying that Forrest is a wee floof for hanging about with his bam mates while dressed like a full-kit w*nker just to make sure everyone knows who he is.

Remember when we used to ridicule Barry "Captain Trackie" Ferguson for similar behaviour

Anyhoo, never met Forrest, so no idea if he's a wideo or not....the combination of being from Ayrshire and getting lifted for pulling his tadger out in a pub would be evidence for the prosecution, but let's be generous and assume that when K3vkr saw him in his club trackie he'd just been picked up from the airport after coming home from a European game

I think so too. Time for him to go. It's in everyone's interests, and we wish him well.

It's probably in James' and the clubs interest to draw a line under it and move on.

For James, if he wants to improve he needs to move on because it's gone stale for him here now.

For the club, we need to look at why we never got more out of him for all those years. I know he was injured but it seems Ronny was the only coach willing to rest James in order to allow him to rebuild his body and possible get a better player in return.

Unfortunately for James he's never been able to add more to his game than he had when he came through. Has pace, can run, hasn't got any footballing intelligence, can't produce enough goals or assists.

Without analysing the stats to any extent my lasting impression is that injuries hampered him more than anything else.
But I agree with you that things have gone stale for him at CP and we don't want players hanging around if their ambitions lie elsewhere.

It isn't working at Celtic. Maybe a change will do him good or maybe he will be another Liam Millar. His heart isn't in it so best for all concerned.
