Does he fancy China? We could get a nice seven figure sum for him.

A shame how it all ended up. Would have loved to see him succeed.

At least we'll always have that Karagandy goal.

One of the few players in the team I always thought possessed enough quality to actually create a chance at European level, bit like mcgeady in that regard. Although he just doesn't do it often enough, like everyone's say injuries and what seems like a poor attitude, he just genuinely looks like he couldn't be arsed

On his day though I don't think we have a better direct pacey winger. Just a shame he does it like twice a season!

Will be glad to see the back of him, more often than not a waste of a jersey.

League 1 awaits.

I just feel sad about this because I love to see players come through our own system rather than this constant gambling with low budget projects from abroad. He seemed for a while to have all the same tools as McGeady, but looks like he is going to end up as another Ross Wallace, who I believe is now with Sheffield Wednesday.
In my opinion he never had 'all the same tools as McGeady'.

McGeady was a gifted player and a lot more skilful that Forrest.

What he seems to be to me is someone who wants the shirt to shrink to fit. That may be good enough elsewhere but is not acceptable at Celtic.

He has no ambition and is content with mediocrity.

Most importantly, when he comes on as a substitute he runs onto the pitch in a manner that makes me think he is feeling a bit chilly.

The Sun's saying Izzy's for the off too. He's lost his place in the Honduras XI recently.

Probably the right time for him to move on TBH....appears to have gone as far as he can with us.

Would have been preferable to do the old "sign a new contract now, then we'll sell you on in the summer and you get to pocket 10% of the transfer fee" deal, but realistically he probably knows he needs to be available as a "bargain" signing to get himself a decent club.

Could have been a real star for us and gone on to grace bigger leagues if he'd delivered on his early promise....but he relied too long on little more than using his pace to drive in to the box and draw a foul or get a shot away. Once the SPL cluggers had kicked that out of him and he started either staying wide or getting rid of the ball early to avoid getting hurt he became much less effective.
It's a shame, he could have been something special if he'd either developed a bit of craft to go with his pace or else learned how to protect himself without hiding out on the wing or getting rid of the ball before anyone gets near him.

Anyhoo, like almost all of our players who move on I'll wish him luck in the rest of his career (unless he's playing against us as some point of course)

I wouldn't be in too much of a hurry to move Izzy on. Tierney's done an outstanding job but I'm still concerned that we're risking burning him out if we play him too much - and we've got no other options in that position. Besides which, Izzy has been a decent servant and is more than capable at left back. Unless and until he's replaced, I'm keen for him to stay.

KT is a machine! The only thing burning out is the studs on his boots and the grass underneath them. Shoe-in for the next Bond.

Im sure if there is talk of Izzy moving on they will replace him. I dont think it will take much to replace him especially as its just for back up/competition. That should hopefully deal with the burn out concerns.

Both these players have been massively overated by sections of their own support, neither would have a future at the club on current standings IMO but its worrying (if true) someone sanctioned a pay rise aswell as 4 years for Forrest. Mental biscuits.
