When he broke on to the seen I thought we were seing a player with the world at his feet Lennon got the best of it of him but recently well the last 2 years his attitude has been shocking he has contributed the minimum he's needed to so I for one will be glad that I will never see him stop put his hands up and look at the referee while play rages on around him again.

28 games this season. 2 goals 2 assists. Pish return for a forward player. Hope he finds himself wherever he ends up
 Those are some stats.

All the best to him anyway.

Considering the potential he once showed, the fact that so many of us are happy with the thought of him leaving shows how poor his development has been. Yeah, injuries played a part in that, but so does attitude.

No doubt he'll have himself a decent enough career after us, but he's not a loss. Just a shame he didn't come out with this in January where he could have been moved on.

Get the contract offer withdrawn and make sure it is never offered again. This summer must be the time we clear out as much dead wood as possible and for me Forrest is so one we wont miss.

Turning down a "generous contract offer" is a clear sign his agent is still alive. He is the type of player (the unrealised potential) that would temp clubs with the lower budgets in EPL or maybe one of the more ambitious ones in the Championship. Forrest is obviously a very talented player and really irritating to see that he doesn´t seem to do enough to flourish at Celtic. But would a replacement be needed? Elyounoussi is a name that springs to mind.

It's right he should go. Just treading water being here. There's a good few more in the same position.

Will people please stop all this chat about him going to the EPL. He's nowhere near good enough for the EPL, I have doubts he would even make it in the English championship.

He's turned down a more than generous contract offer and will regret it in a few years. It's only going to be downhill for him when he leaves.

Should not even be on the bench for the rest of the season.

His time is up.

Only speculations, but I think him turning down the contract offer = his agent is working on something concrete. And who is more likely to offer him more? I think we can rule out Dundee United.

Good luck to him, but I don't think he'll be much of a loss. Hope this is the start of a much needed cull of dead wood, underperformers and has beens.

A better manager would have got more out of him.
I don't buy that. He was already Mr Inconsistent under Lennon.

Other players - Griffiths, Rogic - have managed to do OK under Deila for all his tactical naivety and incompetence.
2 players ffs. The stats posted earlier show Lennon got a lot more out of Forrest than Deila has. Our team under Deila is full of underperforming and inconsistent players.
Not sure if the stats will back it up but Imo he was regressing badly as a player in Lennon's last season as well. He seemed to lose the ability for that burst of speed and once that was gone there wasn't much left.

Always been a huge Forrest fan - but he really should move on in the summer for a smaller fee but with a rather decent selling on fee

Doesn't produce enough to demand a high wage at us these days

If he has any sense he should look away from the bigger offer from Ingerland and move to Germany or France to try and kick start his career, but will most likely end up at Bolton, Burnley or Blackburn (those standard clubs)
