I can see us getting to the end of the season and him having no options and signing that 4 year contract. I hope to god weve seen sense and removed it from the table.

I'd say he's one for the trimming that Collins was talking about this summer. Mind, Collins and his Norwegian pal may getting sliced too.

Judging by Ronny's comments in that article, I doubt we'll see him again. He'll be punted in the summer. Good luck to him but unless he improves his attitude, he'll go nowhere but downhill.

Disappointed in how things have turned out for Forrest. Lennon got the best out of him but he's not looked half the player since.

Dumbfounded that the great Lawwell has let a 24 year old first team player run down his contract. He (and Mulgrew) should have been punted in the summer.

He will fail in England and return to play for Motherwell in a couple of years.

Doesn't sound like we're too fussed on keeping him. It's about time really. He's nowhere near the level he should be at at this stage of his career.

Hope he leaves now - can do without another 4 years of him looking as if he might flicker into life and then going back to sleep.

It's a shame really. 5 or 6 years ago when he came through, there was some potential there.

There's been zero improvement in that time though. Whether that's down to ability or attitude, no-one really knows. The injuries haven't helped, but that excuse doesn't really wash.

Can just imagine the shocked look and shampooebag throwing of the arms up in the air when he sees all the contract offers from League 1 teams.

Thought he looked okay when he came back into the team this season, adding a bit of zip into the proceedings.

Heard from a pal recently, that at the seasonal get-together in the exec lounge (Jock Stein Lounge) prior to the question and answer session (which takes place between the members and the manager, as well as a couple of players) that SPLOB introduced proceedings by saying, that in a departure from the norm, he'd like to ask the first question.

He then proceeded to ask Forest (who was one of the players at the do) 'why isn't your agent answering my calls'?
Now, whatever you think of Forest (and i'm not his biggest fan) that type of behaviour from the CEO (basically shaming/embarrassing the player in front of 'high-end' supporters) is despicable, in the extreme.

It is, however, a fairly good indicator of SPLOB's personality, aswell as his overall confidence in his position at the club :boik:

As my mate said, 'the player hasnae kicked a ba' since'

I'd punt ASAP.....either injured or if not then ineffective in too many games.

No major loss

Glad he's not signing a new contract, it would be an utter waste of our limited resources to pay him a wage for another 4 years, especially if, as per Ronny, it was going to be a significant wage.

Now cut the rest of the deadwood loose too, Commons, Mulgrew, Lustig, Ciftci, Stokes, Cole, Ambrose, Johansen and even Brown if he doesn't turn his form and effort around soon. Lets go with young, hungry, energetic footballers. Lor knows we have enough of them. Need to root out this malaise and apathy amongst the senior players.
