Just had a look at his original thread, laughable in comparison to the general perception now

I find myself logging on to KDS less and less. The days of enjoying reading really good discussions and debate are quite infrequent
now. It now seems a very negative discussion board and a thread of over 100 pages trashing one of our players confirms that.
Your immature comments to my response to someone else is assisting in the downward spiral.

Fighting the urge to ask why so Krankie Wee Jimmy :ph43r: Iknow, very immature on my part so sorry.

Joking aside, i agree with you, though my solution has been to log in and spend most of my time in the non-football sections, mainly general and entertainment. I don't know if the negativity stems from unrealistic expectations placed upon our team, being the club with the highest turnover and wage bill fans expect, nay demand we win every match and every compitition, or if the negativity is a reflection of larger problems stemming from the social and economic woes facing us all since 2008. Either way it makes discussions about Celtic less positive and way more negative and unpleasant.

I love Celtic and i envy the guys who get to play for or manage the team. I don't think the players and manager should be above all criticism but i don't feel that the second by second judgements are helpful. Judge a manger at the end of the season and the players at the end of their contracts.

I'm now off to do something more pleasant than reading KDS

You are right KDS is more than just a football forum.

The negativity and "thrashing" our players that your guilty off too? You're part of the problem.

A quick glance through your posting history and you only do really sign on here to stick up for wee Jamsie. Maybe if 9/10 of your posts wasn't just to stick up for James your post wouldn't have been met with any ridicule.

What is it about Forrest re his future at Celtic that you can be positive about?
Horror :o I have made a couple of negative posts. I am happy I caused you the bother to check my posts.
That tells me a lot about you as well.
What is about Forrest that makes me want to defend him? Well I don't feel the need to.I am quite critical of him quite
often I do not have to post it on here.
There is a difference between being critical and downright negative. I am critical of the club regarding what I think is the poor development of Forrest and others coming through our
youth program.
He came through the youth program. Therefore he has as he progressed had quite a number of people i.e. coaches trainers medical staff at various levels on his way to the big team.
It is not just a matter of picking the team talking tactics and formations etc. and sending them on to play. There is imo a responsibility to check attitudes, confidence, mentoring
programs and monitoring their fitness levels, to mention just a few. I expect that from a club the size of Celtic.
That is not happening and I included Ronnie in my criticism since he came with a reputation of developing players as one of his big strengths.
Forrest's selection for Scotland at various levels would suggest he has the talent. He might have to move on though.

He's one of those that's finishes so badly he catches the keeper by surprise and it goes in anyway.

The only thing that's good about Forrest is that he is with us and not against us. Like he's poor but imagine him running at Lustig or Izzy he would look a class player.

Forrest is one of the many players we need to get shot of. I'm sure he could do a job for a Championship club.

Nah.
There's a wee nugget of a point in there.

Niall McGinn immediately springs to mind. Class? Nah, that's too strong a word. However he'd be amongst the top ten players in the SPL not employed by Celtic if he'd to leave.

I would say Tony, McGinn is a far more influential player for Ab erdeen than Forrest is for us. Whether that makes him a better player in a technical sense or otherwise I'm not sure. However, I would rather have McGinn in our squad than Forrest.

Forrest's definitely a better player than McGinn. After a while of thinking otherwise the last few months have me thinking he's not good enough for us though.
