May marks 5 years since his debut. Hes played in 141 out of around 256 competitive games in those 5 years hes been in the first team. His best run was 11/12 where he had played in 43/52 competitive games. Since then hes went 29/58, 27/53 and 15/44 so far this season... It would seem his injury record just seems to be getting worse and worse. He's a player who was tipped at being the best product to come from our youth system, better than McGeady... Sadly that hype was wrong. Ive never seen an improvement on that player who burst into the first team. If he didnt have pace, he probably wouldn't get near the team |

Its a shame, but its time to move Forrest on at the end of the season. I can't see him getting back in due to his injury problems. GMS looks far better just now and can stay fit. |

It's debatable whether a fit Forrest is a better player than GMS. I don't think it is tenable to say that he is "far" better. I am a Forrest fan generally and a fit, on form Forrest is a very good player. Trouble is that he never stays fit and on form for more than a few games at a time. Forrest also relies a lot more on pace than GMS and I fear that he may have lost his edge over the first ten yards due to injuries. GMS has better technique and is a more intelligent footballer. He also tracks back more than Forrest. |

This Forrest-Pace=Time to go. Forrest relies alot on his pace to beat players. Hes not that great technically. He knocks the ball past players and runs onto it. GMS can beat players while keeping the ball at his feet.

Not sure about McGregor - but Forrest does quite often just play the frustrated kid when he loses the ball. I'm a big fan of an on form Forrest - but it's been a while since we've seen that. But here's something for you to consider. Can you ever remember Forrest losing the ball on the flank (as tends to happen quite often with wingers who try to get down the line), but after losing it, get up straight away to then win it back and go on the offensive again? He's been with us for a while, and I can't remember him having that level of hunger. When he's been good for us, he's been very effective, and has produced in at least one really important match for us at a key time (Karagandy for one). He's one of the few players I think we've had in recent years who can test CL defences - but we've seen all too little of him for a long time. The question is, are his injuries behind him, or not, and would he (and us) be better served if he was elsewhere? I don't know enough of what's happening behind the scenes, so can't really comment. Any ideas what has been the cause of his issues? What's the problem? |

Wow I find myself agreeing with quite a few of your comments on here Remy but we are at totally opposite ends of the spectrum with regards to Forrest. All about opinions, I suppose. |

He's had a rough time with injuries. The thing is every manager rates him so he must be worth a bit more time. Needs a decent run in the team but hard to see who will displace at the moment. A bit of a dilemma |

Really find it strange how much abuse he is taking or even the level of criticism by some. He has been out injured for a long time, and he is mentally and physically a yard short of the players he is up against. Players take a while to recover from long term injury, Forrest hasn't played much football in the last year and will need time. Izzy took a while before his form improved, Matthews is only just starting to look like his old self after a layoff, Forrest is a skillful player, regarded, for example, by Scott Brown as easily the best player in the squad, but he has had a really bad time with injuries. Some of the comments on here are pretty bad, considering the circumstances. |

Maybe there is a reason that Lennon and now Deila keep throwing Forrest back into the side when he returns from his injuries, maybe they can both see what he has to offer the side. Pace, width, the ability to stretch a defence, an outball, a goal threat. He's the best attacking option we have at the club. How about we concentrate on getting him and keeping him fit. When we do, we will all be able to see what he brings to the team. |

I'm serious. People saying 'ah he's mince' or 'just not cutting it, twist' can not be defined as abuse. |

down with your sensible words. no place here when there's a scapegoat to hunt. Forrest is injured too much no doubt about it, but what kind of message does it send to the squad when he gets binned? 'shampooe i better not get run of injuries or I'll be papped to Bolton too'? what we could do with for some games is him on one side, GMS on the other and someone who can finish in the middle. games like ross county just after Christmas. There is a nasty as eff streak running through the Celtic support which seems to be amplified on KDS. Some of the comments you hear at games, and which are mirrored on here, aimed at (at times, anyway) Forrest, Ambrose, Deila, Stokes, Scepovic and others are really quite unpleasant. |
