Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
It wasn't really. Forrest linked up really well with his teammates and was involved as much as Allan despite starting off in wide areas. He played better but he's a known quantity and for some reason some are desperate to get rid of him. Strange.
Its got eff all to do with anything other than Allan being better tonight than Forest.

The only desperation is you desperatly trying to find the tiniest crumb of comfort when it comes to Forest. His time is up. Face facts.
Your last sentence proves my point. I've criticised Forrest before. Tonight I've praised players I don't rate. As this team has no heroes I'm indifferent to individuals.

I thought both of them played really well when they came on and was really pleased with the hunger shown.

Was the best performer out of all our subs but you wouldn't think so if you read forums and social media.
 Yer effing arse. Allan was much better. :ffs:
He was. By a good bit. But then its no really much of a compliment given we were already 5 up and McGregor was the MOTM.
It's arguable who was better between Allan and Forrest

Neither was clearly ahead of the other

Both played well

It proves nothing  I cant stand McGregor but I praised him the night. I can dish out praise where its due and I said Forest had a decent game but he was nowhere near better than Allan.

Tonight he came on. did reasonably well and scored a nice goal, in a team that was already 5 goals to the good.
He has found his niche, as an occasional sub.

Call it as you see it. Whether you think hes a wee dick or not, at least admit he played well tonight. Lots of positive play from him tonight. Granted he came on in perfect circumstnaces (esp for an attacking player), but was good to watch.

Griffiths is a hero.

Rogic is on the way.

And Bitton.

Alan has the potential to be an exciting player and watching his development will be really interesting.

Plus who knows what we find in the transfer window.

I think we have some real potential in our squad, and looking at what players could become our next big game winners should be as much part of the fun as when they finally deliver.

I think Forrest has a top level higher than most players in the squad. He certainly has a down level as well, but personally I would be sad to see him leave. A longer period without injuries may still bring out the best of him.

It was a Hamilton side who had chucked it lads.

When he's good he's pretty good but when he's bad it's effing tragic to watch. He's had long enough and after all this time he still can't be trusted. Sadly I think Deila considers him to be one our best players.

Him performing well at the tail end of a romp feels all too familiar. I want him to see the season out then go.

The problem I have with keeping Forrest is the relatively high wage he'll command and the level of inconsistency he produces.

Ideally we'd have another year to decide if he's worth it because through injured, recover and form I don't think we've been able to judge if he is.

When GMS and Forrest are both flying I prefer GMS because he's got a bit more intelligence and skill rather than pure pace which a Celtic winger needs. Of course that's no good if he goes missing for 6 months. But it raises a question. Can we get a more productive player than Forrest who'll command less money and be consistent?

That's not a reason to keep what we have in my opinion

His contract's up at the end of the season isn't it?

I think there's a player there but not one we can rely on consistently enough imo. Put simply, I wouldn't be distraught to see him leave.

CELTIC’S James Forrest will not stand trial over claims he flashed his willy in a nightclub.

The case against the Hoops winger, 24, collapsed through a lack of evidence.

The news, which emerged last night, ends a nervous two-year wait for the Scotland ace, who had also been accused by cops of committing a sexual assault on the same boozy night out.'

Officers studied CCTV footage after the incidents in Ayrshire before arresting Forrest, who was reported to prosecutors.

Last night a Crown Office spokesman confirmed: “There are currently no proceedings but we reserve the right to raise proceedings should further evidence become available.”
