Looks like a defeat. Think we deserved more than that, the young bhoys more than held their own.

A very creditable performance from the lads.
A very young team with some of our better players even having a couple of years left at this level if required ...
Aitchison (16), Ralston (17), Crossan (17).
Calvin Miller probably our best player today. Great engine and did a power of work going back the way as well as looking very dangerous going forward. And he's only 18.
Very encouraging.

Full time. 2-1.

Barca were the better team in terms of passing and retaining the ball but they really wilted in the 2nd half and Celtic looked a much fitter and stronger side. A draw would not have flattered us at the end there.

Quite surprised with how much Barcelona faded there given that its about 35C you'd have thought that Celtic would have been the ones blowing out their arse towards the end.

The idea is to get a couple through to the first team squad,at the moment it's Ajer and Miller for me.

Yeah, I'd like to see Miller get a chance at some point. He's starting to really look the part.

Given his physical advantage, Ajer should be absolutely dominating games against 16-19 year olds. He didn't come remotely close to doing that there.

Nowhere near ready for the first team IMO.

Celtic made a good game of that. I like the look of Ralston, lots of power and pace. I was impressed by our fitness levels, possibly ending the game the stronger looking side.

Stand outs for me today were Ralston(again) and Miller. The wee fella Johnston looked good after he came on and of course Aitchison impressed with his goal.

Didn't see the game today but, from what I've seen previously, Ralston and Miller look like they could be pushing for first team squad involvement next season.

Brendan is a big fan of Ralston.

Me too. He needs to cool his temper though. Looks a real prospect and he could have a big season next year.

Great effort by the young' uns, showed a lot of desire especially last 20 mins and took the game to barca, they suddenly seemed to realise that they could beat them, would take a performance like that tonight, but right from the off!

Ajer needs to toughen up a bit. He should be dominating the midfield with his height and frame at that age group. If he can get a bit of strength about him he'll come good.

Miller should be given a chance on the left before GMS gets any game time. He's 8 years younger and looks to have great potential and already looks the more powerful of the two.

We've been pretty poor so far, 2-0 to Man City seems about right. An early 2nd half goal for the young hoops could change things

Aye, they look a good few levels above us so far.
Piss poor crowd , no doubt due to the nonsensical scheduling for this game.
