Good turnaround for the young boys. It's evident that a team of youths going up against a team of grown men is a difficult task regardless of superior technical ability. I'm looking forward to seeing the next round.

Also, GIURY Finlay and the hacking hun bastards in their team.
Donald where's your bruisers? :nono:

I like what they have they have done with introducing the young kids into this tournament. Makes it worth watching.

I like the new format of the league cup too.

Every other Premier League under-20 side that played last night was put out. Only us and Sevco left, who play their tie tonight.

I wonder if they got the easiest possible draw?

Honestly think Scottish referees are a major impediment to our development as a footballing country.

I agree with this. Charlie Richmond was on BBC Sportsound commenting about the Jamie Walker incident and while he was right about Walker diving etc he sounded like a dinosaur talking about players who feel contact going down or players trying to avoid contact going down. Kept on saying how foitball was a contact sport. We all know that it is but its the level of contact allowed in Scotland thats the problem. If the refs in this country penalised fouls more like their counterparts on the continent young talented players could flourish because hammer throwers like Keith Lasley would have to change their ways or find themselves sent off and suspended for most of the season.

Totally agree, they are either corrupt or incompetent and neither is good for our game. The amount of bad tackles that are let off, just encourages the cloggers in out game, coupled with the fact that they do not know the rules and it's a recipe for disaster.

After Sevco's pumping by Stenny last night we are the one and only U-20 side to make it to round 3. Quite an achievement by McIntyre and the bhoys in that context. The draw is in under an hour, possible opponents we can draw are:

South Pot C
13 Morton
14 St Mirren
15 Queen of the South
16 Dumbarton
17 Livingston
18 Ayr United

Magic, beating Livingston would be a great achievement for that group of young bhoys.

A win there and then there is the possibility of a tie against Welsh or Norn Irish top flight clubs, including Linfield. Would be lovely for the kids to demolish that mob.

Does the draw open up in the next round? Currently the South section of the draw (which we're in) is substantially weaker than the North section.
