Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Watt played for the youth team U20's, this was before we had a development squad. When he was signed at 17 as you've pointed out, who do you think he was playing with exactly?
No you're wrong. Tony Watt went straight into development squad in jan 2011. Its all immaterial anyway but thats the way you wanted it. I don't no what your "that's the way you wanted it" comments about. You made another daft one previously.
Tony Watt played in the NextGen Series when he was with us. That was an U20's competition. As I've said, we didn't have a development team then, it was an U20.

Great pass from Aitchison for the fourth goal there.

I wouldn't reckon that as one from our youth system.
In that case, and if you don't count Maloney as a striker, then Burchill would be the last to come through and actually stay around the first team for any length of time. Others have made occasional contributions - Beattie, Lynch and Atajic all scored for us without ever doing anything else of note. I think the last one you'd call a genuinely top class striker would be Nicholas, which must be about 35 years ago now. Simon Donnelly too? Or did we sign him?

Not the Development Squad but the U17's are playing Hamilton for the title today. They only need a draw to clinch it. Here's hoping boys.

5-0 up with ten minutes to go. Aitchison's scored three. Think they were 5-2 up with less than 5 mins to go and somehow drew last time out

Jack Breslin, Calum Waters, Ciaran Lafferty and Blair Kidd all released by the club. I thought Calum Waters was meant to be pretty good? Ach well. Room for some of those U-17's to step up.

I thought Brankin was rated quite highly but couldn't work out why he was loaned to Annan in two consecutive years. Maybe he's from there and wanted to be closer to family. Wonder if Blair Kidd is related Lewis Kidd who we had a couple of years back.
Ciaran Laffert my has made no impact at u20s this year. Not sure if he's mm been injured or if he was more of an u17s player.

BRENDAN Rodgers has passed on his congratulations to Celtic Under-17s after the young Hoops sealed the league championship in style today against Hamilton Accies.
Michael O’Halloran’s side swept aside the Lanarkshire outfit 5-0 in their final game of the season at Lennoxtown, with Jack Aitchison bagging a hat-trick. Ross McLaughlin and Michael Johnston were also on target for the Bhoys in a sparkling showing.
And by clinching the title, it means Celtic will participate in the UEFA Youth League again, having guaranteed their entry via the domestic champions pathway.
Speaking to the official website, Brendan Rodgers said: “Congratulations to our U17 squad, to the players and staff on a victorious day.
“To play for Celtic at whatever level it's about playing attacking football and understanding what it takes to be a winner. These steps are important to become a first-team player. Well done to everyone."

CELTIC Under-13s have triumphed in the prestigious Bassevelde Cup in Belgium after putting Borussia Dortmund to the sword in today’s final.
A goal from JoJo Gillespie put the young Hoops in front against the German side and goalkeeper Jude Smith was also a hero for the Bhoys after saving a last-minute penalty.
And there was also individual success for the young Celts in the competition as Karamoko Dembele scooped the Player of the Tournament award.
After progressing out of their group, which included Bayer Leverkusen, Club Brugge and Lokeren, the youths overcame Hertha Berlin in the quarter-finals and then Anderlecht in the last four to set up the final with Dortmund. Real Madrid, Paris St Germain, Ajax and PSV Eindhoven were some of the other top European clubs participating in the 16-team event which Celtic last won in 1998.
And it was another piece of fantastic news for the Celtic Youth Academy on the day that the U17s claimed the league title and a spot in next season’s UEFA Youth League after hammering Hamilton Accies 5-0. U8-U15 Academy Manager, Martin Miller said: It’s a remarkable achievement on a fantastic day for the Academy, with the 17s winning the league with a brilliant performance and the U13s winning one of the toughest tournaments in Europe.
“This is the 20th anniversary of the tournament and we last got to the final when we had Aiden McGeady and Charlie Mulgrew in the team in 1999, and we last won the tournament in 1998.
“We have competed in it every single year and that shows you the level of difficulty in getting to the final and actually winning it.
“It’s a tournament of a very high standard. I am delighted for the U13s as it’s the equivalent of a mini Champions League level victory at this level.
“It’s also important to acknowledge the input of the staff in attendance who brilliantly supported the kids – coaches Miodrag Krivokapic and Stevie Hamilton, physio Kenny Murray and scout Kenny Marshall.
“The children are also well supported by the parents and I’m delighted for them as well. To come out on top is fabulous and gives everyone in the Academy a huge lift.”
dembele is unreal. him, n'yiang and im sure one other are meant to be absolutely unbelievable and at a level the coaches have never seen in their age group. already recieving ridiculous offers from english clubs. i know one of their familes have knocked back loads as celtic have been good to them but its hard to imagine reaching the first team if the interest levels in them remain

Hopefully they take heed of the case of one I.Feruz, and realise staying put might be the best idea.
