Edinburgh based Tims get along to Ainslie Park (Spartans) for tonight's 7.15KO game against Hibs.
Aw, bollocks. I'm playing badminton at Ainslie tonight, parking's going to be murder.

Jesus fecking christ. Is there another football association anywhere in the world that's more backward than the SFA?

Almost certainly not. And certainly not one in a country in which football is so passionately followed. A complete farce.

encapsulates Scottish footballs main problem in one go.

Unbelievable

If I was running Scottish football he'd be sacked instantly.

Good enough for Real Madrid, but not for Scotland. :nono: The RM U-20 could name the score vs. Scotland U-20s in a game.

Sack him. Just sack him now.
It's this kind of dinosaur thinking that holds us back. The Largs coaching mafia will no doubt be applauding and telling each other that Messi wouldn't get a game in one of their teams because he tries all that fancy stuff and doesn't track back.

Never mind the fact that he clearly has a prehistoric attitude to youth football, he should be sacked for singling out one of his players - who is basically still a kid - for such heavy-handed criticism in the press.

His remarks are moronic on just about every level possible.

What a buffoon. He should find himself out of a job with that attitude.

Has anyone actually seen him play or do we just assume that because he's at Real he's good enough?

I'd agree that it was odd that a Real player wasn't good enough to play for Scotland. I don't think I'd be calling for the coach who doesn't pick him to be sacked I'd I hadn't even seen him play.

Thomas Gravesen was good enough to be signed by Real Madrid. I thought that he'd be great for us. He wasn't.

I also dont know what the kid's attitude is like. Maybe (I'm completely speculating) he's full of himself because he plays for Real and thinks he doesn't have to put the effort in in training or on the pitch. Maybe this is designed to bring him back down to Earth. WGS was pretty harsh on McGeady. Every coach Tony Watt has had to date has been the same pre-Charlton.

It doesn't matter if anyone has seen him play. Sbragia's stated reasons for the decision not to pick him are the problem.

Not a chance he'll give Sbragia the bullet, I'm sure they worked at Man Utd together.

I really didn't know there was a Scottish bloke playing for Real Madrid!!
Even at any level, that must be a first?
Maybe the SFA thinking behind playing him, is what's holding Ryan Gauld back?
TBF the Scotland 1st team is actually quite wee, managed by a wee guy, who has a thing about compensating for being a wee guy. Surely WGS would have a word if there was an issue? He did pick Gauld for a squad once I think.
Going to Google this Madrid boy now.
