Didn't care much for Hartley as a player, even when he was with us. But I like him as a manager.

Brendan must have a hell of a lot of trust in him to make that appointment.

Just to annoy remy I'd like to say that he's being groomed to take over when Brendan goes, but somehow the words "groomed" and "Paul Hartley" just don't sit together

Brendan must be impressed with GMcB. He was invited to Lennoxtown recently after getting the tin tack, wasn't he?

Really?

Him and Robson were critical in winning a league title

I wasn't a fan of either of them. I like midfielders to have some form of craft, neither of those had any and it was a league won in sheer monotony.

Regardless, if Hartley becomes manager of the u20s, I see that as a good thing. Seems a good coach.

I'd suggest having a settled midfield was critical in winning a league title. Hartley was average for us, though he was much much better than Barry Robson.

Back on point, obviously something went wrong at Dundee towards the end, but until then Hartley had looked a decent managerial prospect.

Surely if he was joining our development squad next season Celtic would have confirmed this by now?

That's just a dodgy twitter account.

Warburton should also get involved then. He has experience in this field.
