The wee guy will probably get better coaching at better facilities with England whilst playing and training with better players than he would with Scotland. It could make him a better player in the long run. If his head is turned by English clubs then it's turned. I'd like to see him make it at Celtic but money talks and you can't blame him or his money of he chases the cash.
If he progres on the potential that he shows he will be in or around the first team for us. Doubt many of the Inglish players in the same age group will say the same at that point. Money may talk but if he at that point thinks that he will be better of counting Inglish money with some youth squad down there or progressing with us, then I would be fine with him leaving as he most likely would make as much an impact on world football as Miller or Feruz.

Any club moving for him before the age of 16 will be hammeren by a transfer ban like the Spanish clubs get atm

There seems to be some sort of bizarre myth that young players are ruining their careers by moving to the likes of Man City or Chelsea. Both of those clubs have players out on loan at clubs playing at a higher level than the Scottish Premier League. Many of their young players are currently on loan at Champions League or Europa League. There's actually more chance of him getting high level first team football if he moves to one of those clubs than if he stays with Celtic.

I think there are moves afoot to stop clubs stockpiling players like this. Chelsea have 38 players out on loan at the moment

Think that's a decent point. Just because a lot of these players won't make it at city or Chelsea doesn't mean that they've failed to make it.

It's the same with us. Look at the number of players playing in Scotland who have come through our youth system.

I know he was born in London but when did he come to Scotland? If he's been in Scotland most of his life it doesn't look good that he'd happily ditch Scotland for a bigger/better team.

Who cares - the lad is 13 years old FFS.

He has a very long way to go before he makes it as a professional footballer

I coach a group of lads who went 2 years unbeaten, they have hit fifteen this year and have found that they enjoy having a drink and a party the night before they play. My point being that the temptations of every youngster everywhere are intensified when you have had a wee bit of the limelight. Although the boy has undoubted ability he has to navigate his way through the biggest challenges before he becomes a professional athlete.....as i say no guarantee.

Kind of not even bothered by the whole Dembele thing. Nothing is unexpected about any of it.

I'm pretty sure if social media was on the go in the early 2000's, Aiden McGeady would have been garnering similar attention. We managed to hold on to him. Would love to be surprised, but I predict he'll be gone from us the minute he is 16.

Hopefully for the young man has got some temperament, and good people guiding him. Looks to have a good future ahead.

the only thing that matters for us is getting him to 16 and signing a full time contract, if he turns out to be as good as the hype then he will be off and we recieve a nice fee, him choosing england would actually benefit us as EPL teams will pay more for a player that fills the "english" criteria for their squads.

I would love him to stay and become a top level player but it aint gona happen, best we can hope for is stepping stone for a few years

If he makes it of course.

The shortlist for the SFA performance director includes Malky McKay (who is the favourite), John Collins, John Park, Alan Irvine, Tommy Wilson and Austin McPhee.

He'd be daft not to take the opportunity at his age, especially as he won't be beholden to it.

He's 13 and being offered to train under better coaches, with better players and in better facilities. Nothing wrong with him trying it out.

[That said, the FA can do one for poaching him.]
