Getting noticed in the reserves
[ * * ]
I know new threads have certain rules so hoping the mods will allow this. I'm hoping we can have a thread with regular updates on matches and the development leave table.

We lost our unbeaten record last night with a 2-1 loss against the dons but I'm sure we will be in the thick of it come the end of the season. It's been a stop start campaign so far with fixtures not coming on a regular basis. Hopefully, a regular run of fixtures will see the side gel and get in their stride. Always worth following

Good idea - I agree there should definitely be a dedicated thread for the reserve team (Development squad).

Agreed

Would be nice to keep up to date with those who may or may not have a future at the club

They had a couple of 16 year olds promoted to the team against Aberdeen. Was that due to injuries or have we got one eye on the International Youth tournament we've been invited to?

There's a few guys that haven't featured for a while.

Fisher and Chalmers have been injured. Paul George hasn't really featured at all tho he came on as a sub last week. Paul Herron hasn't been involved for a while. Don't know if he's injured but I thought I saw pics of him in training.

Won 3-1 tonight agains hearts

Few first teamers in the side. That would indicate that we'll go strong v. Thistle I think.

CELTIC (4-3-3) Fasan; Lindsay, Kelleher, Findlay, Waters; Kayal (Thomson 45), Bitton, Henderson; McMullan, Griffiths (Wardrop 68), Tonev (Tierney 59).
Not used: Hart, Donnelly, McCart, Breslin.

What are people's thoughts on the bhoy McMullan? Caught a few of his goals on Celticvines and he looks a bit of a player.

Also, any sign of Henderson coming back up to the first team again or is it stay where he is for now and wait for his chance maybe toward the end of the season?

Looks like the youth sides will get more opportunities from next season - great experience for them

The UEFA Youth League will be bigger and better from the 2015/2016 season after the UEFA Executive Committee approved a new format for the competition at their meeting in Nyon.

From 2015/16, the UEFA Youth League will become a permanent UEFA competition and will be extended to 64 teams which will allow the inclusion of youth domestic champions. This addition will increase the quality of the competition and will guarantee a wider country representation. At the same time, the hugely successful innovation of the inaugural edition of the UEFA Youth League, where the competition mirrors the UEFA Champions League format and fixture calendar, has been retained.

That is almost the "Larsson fixes the radio" sketch.
