I liked Henderson, he was an intelligent player. BR spoke very highly of him not to long ago.
I wonder what boxes he didn't tick for him in the end.
Probably fitness.
Hi Doc.
You may be right. He was quite impressive at times but then seemed to disappear for spells.

Same here. Pretty sure any Scottish team would have been happy to take him, as would a number of pissant English teams, so to go and try something different like that is to be applauded. I hope he makes a real success of it.

He's been a good player for us in bursts, he just never seemed like he'd be able to impress over a full 90 minutes. Can't believe he's still only 21 though, he's got a fair amount of experience for that age and plenty of time yet to develop into a better and more consistent player.

Some reason i'm sad at this. Always hoped he would break through and he may have given his age and amount of game time he has had. Good luck to the lad.

Really happy for the lad. Bari are a good side with some pedigree, and he's got all the attributes to make it in the game.

He's show real courage going to Italy as well - moving to a new country isn't easy. They all speak Italian over there, after all.

I think he's got the game for Italy, and if he keeps learning and applying himself he could be a huge success over there.

Good player but not quick enough for BR's style of play and seems to lack the energy to be a box-to-box midfielder.
Not able to compete with Ntcham, Armstrong, McGregor or Rogic, so a move was best for him. Surprised and impressed that he has opted for Southern Italy

Don't make the same mistake Ian Rush made and take plenty of your own Corn Flakes.

"Living in Italy is like being in a foreign country" Ian Rush.

Rush denies saying this but it's the attitude a lot of British players had. Henderson has played abroad before so I'm sure he'll get on fine.

This could be a great move for him; good luck to him for making such a bold move. Other Scottish football players should take note.

Plenty will also note how Ryan Gauld’s career has seemingly stalled though.

That's a fair point but plenty of Scottish footballing careers have fizzled out in the English lower leagues too.

It has a bit certainly although he's currently with CD Aves in the top Portuguese league and I believe he has no intention of returning to Scotland if he can help it.

I doubt going to Italy will make him a worse player. If it doesn't work out a hibs, killie or Motherwell will likely offer him something as will lower league English teams. A gamble worth taking imo.

He's played 17 times this season and played most of their games. He's missed two against Sporting as he wasn't allowed to play and he's only missed two other games he's been available for. Only scored once, mind.

Always thought he was an intelligent and skillful player, just didn't have the extra physical attributes to make it at Celtic.

It's the sort of move more Scottish players should be making if they can.

If you're in a career where you can move anywhere in the world why would you decide Paisley or Kilmarnock is the place for you?

Wish him all the best for the future. That little flick for Guidetti's goal against Inter will live long in the memory.
