Good game yesterday.

Don't see a problem with him playing wider. Nakamura wasn't a winger, David Silva isn't a winger.

Creative attacking players don't play in central midfield these days. The game has changed. If we want to get the best out of him we pay him in an advanced role and that's as part of the attacking midfield 3.

I didn't know we signed him from hearts, thought we brought him through ourselves.

Trying to sign Armstrong makes less sense if Henderson continues like this.
Agree with this. And I rate Armstrong.

Would be nice to have them both

I think Armstrong would want a move to England or even abroad

Good goal yesterday.

Of course, his injury probably means we won't see him for two months. :(

He looks fairly promising but I think Armstrong is a better option.

If signing Armstrong is going to stop Henderson getting game time, I'd rather we didn't sign him. Henderson is only 18 years old and could be a real top player but only if he is given regular first team football.

would still send him out on loan if hes not going to get a game every other week.

he could be starting every game for a top flight side rather than wasting away in the u20s which would only harm his progress
i always thought you sent young players out on loan who had no chance of getting into our first team sqaud , that is not the case with this young lad
Spot on mate.

Henderson should be in our team most weeks. I think he has the potential to go far in the game. Seems like a good lad too. High hopes for him.

He's looked promising but I've not seen enough to suggest he could be a real top player yet.

I've seen enough of Armstrong to see he is a very decent player already and is only going to get better.

thought he was really poor in the first half. great goal though

if we do bring in gms and another midfielder this window he should probably go out on loan though

How would you describe him then?

Edit - So do I. The youngsters we have aren't good enough.

Did you see much of Armstrong when he was 18? I'm not saying Armstrong is not a good player , I'd have both in our team but I wouldn't be signing Armstrong if it was to the detriment of Henderson. We need to allow our best young players a chance to develop, this isn't going to happen if they are not given a decent run of games in the first team with better players.

Young players at out club are not given the chance to develop. The young boys at our club are the best in the country.

I saw more of him than I have of Henderson. He broke into the Dundee Utd team when he was 18 and I thought he was a good player then as well. He's improved every year since then.
