Seems a very confident lad, not in an arrogant or unpleasant way, but he just seems really sure of himself for such a young player.
He could yet make it with us.
All people from east of Caldercruix are. Some innate confidence that West Coasters don't have.

Despite his goal he's not done enough in his recent chances with the first team, for me he's now behind Rogic, Armstrong & Christie* in the central attacking spot

Hibs bound in the summer

* I think Christie is away on loan ahead of Liam as he will be getting more starts for Aberdeen than Hendo would

He had 3 very good games in a row(albeit 2 were from the bench) and then 2 not so good games. He's 20, he's going to be inconsistent.

I think he'll be replaced by Armstrong in the team now but to say he's "Hibs bound" is an overreaction, he most definitely has a future here.

He was poor today, and rightly hooked at half time.

With Armstrong back fit, and Kouassi picking up match fitness in the Development squad, it's not looking great for Henderson.

A bad miss aside he was fine today. Armstrong was always getting at least half hour plus.

Overly critical & unfair to say he's Hibs bound.
He's still young & is homegrown, has a good attitude by the looks of it.
There's plenty of room for him at the club, if he's happy to continue developing & being a squad player - which I guess he would be.

Didn't hear the interview my self but mates were saying pre game Rodgers was on and was asked about his best team picking itself to which he said that is not the case - Singled out Henderson but said he wants to see what he can do before the summer? :ponder:

Rodgers seems to rate McGregor more than Henderson - I think Henderson and Bitton are still the most likely midfield players away when Rodgers gets his second one guy in in the summer.

Henderson picked up good positions today but failed to capitalise because his passing was a bit off or he hesitated too much.

I just can't see what people see in him. He's slow, he's incredibly one footed.

I suppose you.could say he can see and execute the odd good pass. McGregor is better.

Agree with this. I dont see it either. We sent Christie on loan and kept Henderson. IMO Christie is a far better prospect.

I'm not a fan of McGregor however he has been better recently and it has been a bit rough that Liam is in before him although I guess BR is just giving him a wee run to see if he comes good. I don't think any of the players will be able to turn round at the end of the season and say they never got a fair crack.

Maybe Brendan thought because Christie is better he is guaranteed to get more game time at Aberdeen. Since this would be more game time than he'll get at Celtic it will benefit both player and the club in the long term.

I think it's telling that he showed more when coming off the bench than he has when starting. Starting brings its own different pressures as has been displayed with GMS.
Brendan will keep working with him though as its pretty evident he has plenty to offer for the future.

Hope so, but it was at a time when Armstrong was out and there was a chance for a run of games. A run that Henderson benefitted from.

Potential.

And I also like McGreggor but he is the three most important years of a footballers development older than Henderson, he damn should be better.

The lack of patience for kids development is depressing but not really surprising.
