In limited opportunities like tonight Henderson really needed to make a statement for himself, and well he didn't (MOTM  ).

Harsh but I think it's becoming increasingly obvious that while he's talented, he's not talented enough for a Brendan Rodgers Celtic team.
Very true.

He has had a few games albeit not consecutively. I don't think he is good enough for us.

Liam is a decent footballer and needs a new club as he ain't going to make it at Celtic.

I'm being harsh as well as realistic for the lad.

Wasn't great, but wasn't bad. This thread is quite harsh. He's only 20 and hasn't had a run of games.

I thought he had a decent enough game. Tidy passing and moved the ball on quickly. Not good enough to be a starter though.

He should cut out trying to always make the killer pass and keep things simpler. I see him as a potential replacement for Broony, but that will take a few years. He has the energy and a bit of devil. Problem is, what do we do with him until he is ready....?? Maybe another loan would be best for him as he is just not ready yet, but there is real potential there.

He had a very good first half and was one of our better players at that point but didn't do as well in the 2nd. Tried to play killer pass too early and too often.

Armstrong has been given a run of games and has done very well for himself since getting that oppportunity. Think Henderson needs that as well but whether he gets that is another thing.

Remember only a couple months ago the calls for Armstrong to be punted were not an isolated voice

I'm a bit torn with Liam at the moment. I've always thought he has the potential to make it with us ever since he got his first sniff of first team football under NL. I was disappointed he didn't get much of a look in under RD and even more disappointed when he was loaned to Hibs as part as of the Scott Allan deal because I thought that even though he was a few years younger he was actually a better player than Allan and had more to offer.

This season he's played 3 games I think? Motherwell at home, County away then last night. Whilst he hasn't played really bad he hasn't really stood out and the way things are going at the moment fringe players really need to stand out when they get the opportunity.

He has more potential than McGregor and Allan and I wouldn't give up on him yet, easy to forget he's only 20. Still time for him to develop.

pretty much the same for me, spot on. I guess we will see how many more chances he gets by season's end

I think some of the comments on Henderson are harsh. I felt he had quite a good game last night - quick, incisive passing at times, always looked to make himself available to receive the ball and some dangerous set piece deliveries. He also gave it away a few times and faded a bit as the game progressed but I'd prefer us to retain and work on him for another while.

Don't normally disagree much with your take on football and McGregor may have a bit more to his game than Henderson but he really isn't very good at much of it - Slack passing and thus giving up possession probably the worst offender in the team at it, shots from outside the box instead of looking for his man when he can clearly see has already been closed down and blocked, kid on tackling, next to no backtracking - Watch him when we lose possession and the opposition break up the park he runs back and invariably he stops and watches from the edge of our box to see what happens.

Henderson may not have as much to his game but I am not sure McGregor is any better as a player.

Fwiw I hope we are soon at a level where they may be punted or at best fringe squad players as afaics they are SPL level at best.

I agree. Hibs or Dundee Utd if they get promoted would be a great fit for either.

I doubt McGregor would be picked up by Hibs.

Quick, incisive passing- when was that then?
