Happy to sell him. Don't think he'll make it with us, flatters to deceive.
Harsh.

Easy to forget he's just turned 20, not the finished packet yet but definitely has the potential. Probably the best set peice taker we have.

The boss clearly doesn't rate him. He's therefore not going to be within the cluster of the 22 /24 that Rodgers wants.

We're forever going on about cutting the squad size, he's one of the excess that's going to have to go. He didn't overly impress at Hibs - who are completely shampooe . He takes a decent corner, that's nice but not really worthwhile if he's no good at most of the other facets of the game.

We definitely need to trim the squad but there are other players who should be shunted out the door before Henderson. He did impress at Hibs, he won YPOTY and made the difference for them in a number of games, most notably the cup final.

Rodgers hasn't shown any inclination to play him at all. He's not going to figure in the 24. If he's not he needs to go whether we think there's merit in him staying or not doesn't matter a tin of beans. It's the same for the clamour with the boy McGinn. Decent player in a shampooe league one who is not good enough for us if we want to progress

Hibs were shampooe last season. And when it got to the crux of the season Stubbs started to drop him for Fraser effing Fyvie.

Liam is a much better prospect than Armstrong, Allan, Bitton, Rogic or GMS.
He has more dig and mental strength than any of those already mentioned, he can tackle as well as pass, something the rest really struggle with.

If he goes I doubt it will be a permanent move, regardless of reports. He's 20, contracted to 2018 and I don't think Hibs have got the cash to make an offer that would be acceptable to Celtic, quite frankly.

Maybe, depending on how it works out, it could be with a view to a permanent move in 12 months time which involves an option on McGinn. That scenario would give both players another season of first team game time in a team who will be playing as favourites and likely front runners for promotion, and give Celtic first option on a player who Hibs will probably otherwise be quite lucky to keep hold of for the whole of 2016/17.

Pointed out earlier in this thread that the number of "big" games Henderson played in last season for Hibs, between cup semis, finals, four play off fixtures, two Edinburgh derbies, matches v Zombies, meant he probably played in more higher intensity games for Hibs than he would have at most top flight teams.

Happy for him to have another season of maybe getting 40 odd games at Hibs (think he was involved in 48 last season) instead if getting about 12 for Celtic and a bunch of Dev Squad games.

Hibernian manager Neil Lennon has confirmed that he is hoping to sign Israel goalkeeper Ofir Marciano and Celtic midfielder Liam Henderson.

The Scottish Championship club are in talks with 26-year-old Marciano, who was recently with Royal Mouscron in the Belgian Pro League.

Henderson spent last season on loan with Hibs from the Scottish champions.

Lennon says an approach has been made for the 20-year-old and he is waiting for a response.

Lennon still in touch with Dudu then?

Would like Henderson to make it and I think he has a chance. Another loan wouldn't do him any harm although maybe to a better side than Hibs.

There's a swathe of CMs I'd shift before him.

Not a chance we will sell him. People wanting him out the door permanently are effing clueless.

Hibs would be good for him - they will be expected to win every game and will have the lions share of possession.

I saw Henderson first time early in Deila´s tenure and I thought he looked quite promising. Now, almost two years later I honestly cannot see in which areas he has improved. He was pretty bad in his loan spell at Rosenborg and at Hiberians last season, was he even an obvious first team starter? There´s a lot of midfielders at the club, and if someone´s gonna be sent out, I think Henderson is not a bad call. I´m not Allan´s greatest fan either, but I´d rather keep Allan and Christie before Henderson. Sell Henderson and Johansen (and Allan also, if you ask me), and keep the rest.

he wasn't 'pretty bad' for rosenborg at all he scored important
goals for them and was well liked by the fans.

he also played well in the scottish cup final for hibernians. ;)

whether or not he's good enough to play for us just now is up to the management we'l see what happens.

FWIW my view is that Deila was so clueless and the squad so rudderless that we have no clue how good any of these players are or could be, The emotional turmoil of playing for the guy with hiis ridiculous tactic and his pseudoscience may have bewildered players - many of them new and settling into the club and the country.

Hemderson's loan period may give some insight into how good he is but maybe does not.

Keep - he's 20 and not purely motovated by a lie that he is worth money in England as so many signings seem to be.

He was largely benched at Rosenberg and slated for his lack of fitness/in-ability to last 90 mins.

Got subbed after 70 minutes a lot for Hibs.

Can't see us selling him, still a lot of potential, I can see him turning out to be a very good player.
