Anyone know who the lad is that scores about 2:47 and has a couple of nice touches after that?

He's only 18.

There is a horrendous habit the Scottish press have of lumping loads of pressure on any young player who shows promise. We've done a lot better managing Henderson than we have with other youngsters in the past.

He is a terrific player and he's the long term replacement for Brown.

Hmmm. Maybe the press do put pressure on certain youngsters but do you really think that is exclusive to this country?

He is 18. Wanyama was 19. McGeady 17. Forrest 18. If he is good enough, which going by our midfield's current performances I think he is, then he should be getting a crack. At least coming on as a sub from time to time.

I've not got any empirical evidence but going purely from my eye the average age of player in the top league in Scotland seems to be coming down. As, unfortunately, is the overall standard in play. While this is happening some teams are determined to play football and not just punt it up the park and kick the better players off the pitch. Surely this is the best time for him to be gaining experience by playing first team games at least against those teams who aren't hatchet men?

I think it's far more prevalent here.

One good game and you're a superstar.

There have been plenty at the huns which back this up. Fleck, Ness, McCabe and Danny Wilson in the past few years.

I don't think it's unique to Scotland, Munir recently made his debut for Spain after only playing 3 or 4 matches for Barca. England have fast tracked the likes of Sterling into the national team. The wee 15 year old who plays for Norway already.

Nothing to do with Scotland.

The difference is those players are getting recognition from those within football.

A lot of the time the hype from players in Scotland is pushed more by the press.

McGeady was 18. He'd just turned 18 two weeks before he made his debut at Tynecastle.

I barely read any hysteric praise about Henderson.

He's hardly Andy Robertson or Ryan Gauld in that regard.

I wouldn't mind loaning him to Hearts or HIbs in January; it's a wee shame we didn't do it earlier but then RD would have wanted to have had a good look at everyone.
I agree about the loan but why Hearts or Hibs? :ponder:

If he is being loaned out in Scotland it should be to an SPL team.
Hibees or jam tarts loan would be good for him
