Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Absolutely no chance.
He definitely was. He was the only 1 looking to be brave on the ball and take responsibility with it.
Completely lost the middle of the park when Armstrong went off - McGregor gets away with having zero presence in a 3, but when we went to a 2 they won every second ball.

He was excellent in the three when he came on, really struggles with just the two in there though.

Good at keeping play ticking over, keeps it simple, did well when he came on but our shape went to shampoo later on and he was anonymous.

i like him offensively, as he is a neat and tidy player with an eye for a pass/goal but defensively terrible, stands off players, ball watches is a luxury player in a midfield 3 but as part of a two no chance

He didn't cost us the game anymore than Bitton or Armstrong or Brown did, BR got it wrong we he took Armstrong off and didn't replace him like for like,i.e. a midfielder that can tackle and defend which isn't McGregor's game but BR asked him to do it, a learning curve for BR that no matter how good we are compared to Sevco, you need to win these games by digging it out and when Sevco got the chance to battle in the last 10 minutes the players they had on the park were better equipped to dig than our footballers like McGregor, Roberts, Sinclair, Griffiths and Dembele

He was very good when he came on, until Armstrong had to go off and that ruined the whole dynamic of the middle three.

Especially when he didn't cost the goal in the slightest.

Isn't a player I'm worried about. A squad player but a very good one. Harsh to criticise him for anything today.

Reality is he will never be a regular starter but he is a good squad player. Tidy and has a goal threat.

I'm not a fan but thought he did well today. Kept it nice and simple. He always offers himself for the ball as well which may be a basic requirement in a modern day footballer but is very pleasing to see nonetheless.

All of that is definitely Callum McGregor's fault.
