He had a decent game and he is good enough to keep around the squad as filler but I'm hopeful we sign a couple of midfielders in January.

We really need better than McGregor, especially in Europe.
True but at SPL level he is a very good player and is also homegrown.

Which is why I said we should keep him around the squad, domestically he's fine, won't let us down, will chip in with his fair share of goals and I think he is the type of player not to take the petted lip if he's out the team ( You Griffiths, I'm thinking about you).

A few months is a long time in football. After that mob beat us on penalties in April i would say alot of Celtic fans would have wanted Brown, McGregor and Armstong out the door. Now all 3 are more than producing the goods and i for one feel a bit silly for writing them off :ffs:

Ordinary backup who had a good game against the Huns....normally doesn't influence things enough for me.

Yip, that's where I stand.

Has cost us in big games this season due to not being good enough. Will continue to cost us in big games. He's a waste of a body against teams that move the ball at pace and press teams hard.

Fine as a back up player in the SPFL. Good second half on Saturday, up there with Izaguirre and Sviatchenko as our poorest player in the first half.

McGregor is a really good wee player, keeps the ball moving and lots of our good stuff comes through him. If he can improve his off the ball work and reading of the game he'll be class. His energy and fitness levels levels are good, I just feel he could position himself better when we don't have the ball. Really like him as a player though.

He was like a man down in that first half v Sevco. For all players like Eric were making mistakes they were at least involved. In my opinion McGregor wasn't. He improved in the second half but the talk of him being great is mental.

He wouldl be great in training to to knock the ball off to and sometimes get it back from but we need far better in our midfield. With Eboue coming in you'd think Bitton will drop further down the pecking order, or preferably go, and McGregor will go back to being fourth or fith choice on the bench.

Looks like he's the most opinion splitting player in the team right now. Different from previous seasons as it's an argument over whether he's good enough to push for a starting place or only good enough as back up in the SPFL rather than whether he's a liability in every game or just a waste of a jersey. Onwards and upwards.

Over the years my heart sinks when I see his name on the team sheet. Seen he was playing v the Huns. Didn't really notice how he played but by all accounts he had a decent enough game. Hope he maintains the form shown.

When delia played him wide right it was like playing a man down.

He's better in the middle, but I can't see him progressing to much more than an average player. Hopefully he'll have a good career. Even better would for him to blossom into a great player, but that ain't happening. At his age his off the ball movement should be much much better... its atrocious

He wouldn't even get on the bench if it was atrocious, Brendan doesn't do atrocious.

I'd give him a bit more time. Exponentially if he can keep up this rate if improvement I think he would be worth hanging onto. His passing has come on a lot particularly looking for a killer ball.
