He has a good shot on him i'll give him that.

Don't see what others are with respects to the rest of his game though? Games usually pass him by, scored a good goal then barely remember him touching the ball apart from a decent cross in the 2nd half and taking corners. Same against Ajax, same as last season.

Benefitting from an alarming lack of form from some players, good luck to him. When their form returns (hopefully) and with Christie and Henderson coming back in eventually he will be way back down in the pecking order.

I've never been his biggest fan, but fair play to him.

He's not got a great deal of ability, but what he does have he works hard with.

Bit harsh calling him limited I think.
He is the epitome of limited.

Limited is being very, VERY, generous. His goals don't fool most thankfully. He is utter guff.

I've always said I don't think he's good enough to be a regular, but some of the critiscim the poor guy gets on here is crazy and ott. Hopefully he or his family aren't regulars on KDS.

Better than Armstrong and GMS.

Is he perhaps better suited to being the supporting Striker in a front two of an old 442?
He can finish well enough but decision making poor and not technically gifted at all. Love to see young Scots, but not sure he'll work out in the hoops

Better than Armstrong and GMS.
For the last couple of games he's played better than them both. They are both undoubtedly more talented than him though.

People must be going on their Dundee United performances because I've seen very little in a Celtic jersey from either of them. McGregor has far more goals and assists than both of them combined.

No he doesnt.

Armstrong and GMS were very good last season. GMS started well this pre season too. Both are well out of form but I'd still they're better than McGregor.

Between January and May I thought Armstrong and GMS hit the ground running pretty much straight away and both contributed well. For some reason it's not quite worked out the same this season. They are both capable of performing at a much higher level than McGregor.

Think describing him as guff is a little OTT.He's clearly in the team on merit at the moment

He's never gonna be a regular in a good Celtic team, but he could easily become a regular in this one. Despite his limitations he's well ahead of Armstrong or GMS at the minute for me.

Playing him out wide last season was pretty pish for him. Clearly not his position so he slopped and now his stock is rather low.

Have to consider if playing him through the middle will bring out the best in him.
