Did some good stuff today, but the stuff he did badly was horrendous.

A better midfielder slides Dembele in at least twice second half.

Tidy, moves the ball well, a clever footballer but his tracking back is shocking. He's a St Johnstone standard player. Probably still our best player today ffs.

On what basis was he great in the second half? :ponder:

I thought he was woeful. We could have been out of sight if he wasn't so wasteful.

He slid him in beautifully once to be fair with a lovely reverse pass. Bad touch by Dembele cost him the chance.

As someone said elsewhere he seems to do a lot for very little return in terms of goals and assists.

I thought overall he did fine today and grew into the game as it wore on.

if only we had someone good to play instead of him, they wouldnt be so wasteful and would run riot. the boy is average and not a long term celtic player.

Played well today, always making himself available, probably had ball more than anyone.

Strange oerformance today. He was very poor in the first half but got forward pretty well in the second. Despite this he was still poor defensively and made poor decisions when in good areas. Overall Id say he was poor as the good stuff he did do didnt result in anything positive and was outweighed by the bad.

I had high hopes for him when he first came into the side but my view now is that he is a bang average player, capable of occasional moments of inspiration and sloppiness in equal measure.

He's a pale imitation of what we need in that position.

Only 23. I don't think he should be written off quite yet. He's been frustrating at times and still has a long way to go.

Watched a different game from me then.

His constant shoot on sight policy when there were other options was Commons-esque.

You could even go as far as saying him being wasteful in the final third cost us the game.

Callum is a good player. Celtic need more than a good player in midfield. They need a solid holding midfielder who is fast, can break up moves, win headers and 50/50's and dominate.scott Brown is not that type of player, but he needs cover from a proper holiding midfielder. That guy will be in the Wanyama mould, big, fearless and skillful
Todays fiasco demonstrated the need for us to compete physically, particularly at the back and midfield. Sorry Callum, you just don't tick the boxes

Spot on

NcGregor will do well elsewhere, he's not the standard or type of player we need.

Whatever McGregor is, a holding midfielder he is definitely not. Offers nothing defensively but not because he's small. Height doesn't necessarily equate to strength as Bitton has proved time and again. We need a player in the holding role who can read the game, break up play and make simple passes. Somebody in the Lennon or Lambert mould.
